Thx for the link. Yes, its true, I'm working on a menu editor, using Visual Basic and OpenGL for the preview (yes that works!). Sometimes I wish I had done it in Visual C++, but I'm not very fine how to create GUIs there  I'm not ready...  [Read More]

LOL i see  my opinion is: as soon as you die in the game, the difficulty setting must have been too high for you :D Perhaps the HUD could show that using some info in a menu. But i don't think a display is needed on the ingame visible hud....  [Read More]

We have no swords in DF :p . The exisiting settings were good enough there i think. Let us start with them. In DF the difficulty settings partially result from the amount and strength of the ennemies, and the strength of Kyle (the available ammo and...  [Read More]

I consider you read CAREFULLY the error message... your images have simply the wrong size, make them e.g. 512x256 or 512x512 or whatever is power of 2, from 1x1 to 1024x1024. Then it should work....  [Read More]

The tools will mainly be the same, e.g. map can be created using GTKRadiant (check its latest release) etc.. We're still waiting for a JA SDK that contains the modifiable game code, and possibly an updated shader editor....  [Read More]

The current JO demo definitely does not work correctly with JA. We are currently modifying all necessary files (e.g. the menus) although we have to find out ourselves what really has changed with JA....  [Read More]

Thanks, Kevin, we're working on it :p Bizarre... the demo_full should be a .zip file and you should extract it anyways to a new folder (in parallel to the base folder, e.g. into gamedata/dfmod_demo). Just putting the zip file there simply can't wor...  [Read More]
