I haven't quite figure that one out yet... Best I can gain from it so far is that -2 seems to be "always in effect", while 1 seems to be something you have to specifically "use". Anything I saw with a 2 (positive) seemed to be s...  [Read More]

Well... she was never meant to be a whore... But then.. any of you males ever try to blend eye shadow in a TGA? It's a lot harder than you might think (if you want the effect to appear at all anyways) But thanks for all the kind comments everyone....  [Read More]

Thankee. :) I dinked around in photoshop and updated the 4th screen shot in order to show the face a bit better (I just used the pics I made for her profile shots), but eh. :) And yeah.. some custom voice acting would be nice. If I could fake a Bri...  [Read More]

Just for kicks I went ahead and uploaded my custom character (female) which adds a head rather than replacing one and works with all 3 starting classes, as well as a little hack-mod that allows you to get unlimited amounts of the "freebie items&...  [Read More]

It's a bit more complex than that. To do it properly, you have to edit appearance.2da, heads.2da, and portraits.2da Additionally, you'd have to extract/write the model files (mdl and mdx) from a model you like the form/shape of. Coloration isn't im...  [Read More]

Well... I've read through the whole thread (from the above link) and I saw no reference to any sort of mod that was needed or even mentioned. It sounded like that character build was intended to function with an "out of the box" installati...  [Read More]

So far as I've been able to determine, it SEEMS hard-coded. Not to say that it definitely is (yet), but nothing I've tried so far has managed to get anyone (PC or NPC of any class) to go beyond a TOTAL of 20 levels. In all honesty, it will really s...  [Read More]

The thing people need to realize is that the file extention (.MDL in this case) is really quite meaningless. I could write a text file (plain ASCII) and call it "Text.mdl" and that won't make it anything other than still a plain text file....  [Read More]

I haven't personally tried it, but there's also a TLK editor near the end of the tools section of the sticky I have up above. I've been told it works for KotOR, but again, I can not verify this personally. -Kitty...  [Read More]

Also, due to the nature of the game engine, it depends greatly on just what you wish to acomplish as to what exactly is required. Some changes will require scripting work, while others can be done with simple changes to the 2da files (which can be w...  [Read More]

You can *not* "edit" an NCS file. That's a compiled script. What has to be done is.. if you have the proper source file(s) -that being the NSS file of the same name as the NCS you want, AND all the files listed (if any) as include files for...  [Read More]

One person's trash is another's treasure... In other words.. regardless how "small" or whatnot a mod is, someone out there probably wants it, if even only to check it out and play around with it. So I figure there's no reason to exclude a...  [Read More]

It's supposed to be. The override graphics work flawlessly as TGA, so there's really not a lot of point in converting them back since for one thing, leaving them as TGA makes them a lot easier to edit here and there while you test them out and whatn...  [Read More]

To be completely honest, I've never used this particular mod. It SHOULD just work once those files are in the Override folder. Shouldn't need to do anything special at all. Are you certain you aren't gaining more feats than normal? It's also possibl...  [Read More]

You don't really "use them". They just change the game's normal behavior in various ways depending on what exactly was changed. So just run a game of KotOR and the mod(s) you've installed will do their thing(s). To be sure to get the full...  [Read More]
