If you compile with q3map2, add the key/value spawnflags 2 to your md3. q3map2 will automatically clip the model, so it will be solid in-game....  [Read More]

Skyboxes are always drawn behind EVERYTHING in the map. So, if you have a sky brush separating two rooms, you'll see the sky behind BOTH rooms. You'll just have to find some other way around....  [Read More]

You could always build a train that moves up, then "retracts" into a wall, moves (hidden) back to the start, and "extends" again before repeating the cycle....  [Read More]

When you merge brushes, you'll get some faces that turn into a single face...and you can only have one texture per face. So even if the two brushes are exactly in line, if you want them to have different textures...they stay two brushes. In SOME cas...  [Read More]

On an md3 model, you can add "spawnflags 2" to it's entity properties and compile with q3map2 and--viola--it will be made solid automatically. Autoclipped. It's wonderful. :)...  [Read More]
