I haven't used Radiant since 1.3. I imagine 1.5 has some of SPoG's experimental features, like well, his new CSG subtract that doesn't suck, the completely new brush manipulation and all that. I used one of his alpha builds a year or two ago, it was...  [Read More]

Use a func_train (there may be other entities that are capable, I have not checked) and use a model2 or whatever and have it point to the Imperial GLM, then tell it the frames for the animation you want to loop (frames out of the total 17K or whateve...  [Read More]

Autoclip creates one clip brush for every surface, each brush being eight units thick. Why it is not two (the minimum) I do not know. Eight units is eight inches, if that, so even if Q3Map2 creates some clip brushes that make a fat collision model, y...  [Read More]

Depending on what's in the map, it's better to adjust blocksize values for each axis individually. Like if you have nothing but terrain, a larger Z axis value is better....  [Read More]

You can have Q3Map2 do it for you. It creates a clip brush for every surface, which is inefficient, but a lot easier, and more uniform and accurate on complex models, despite the nature of one surface = one brush. We're still waiting for ydnar to wri...  [Read More]

It doesn't really matter which you use, as long as you light the rest accordingly. I would recommend _minLight because it won't force you to use light values you are unfamiliar with. I would recommend a value of around 20, maybe 10, maybe 30 or 40......  [Read More]

10,000 units? Heh, the maximum is the size of the grid, 65,536*65,536 units. It may be possible to put something outside of that, but I'm unaware if it will ever compile (without modifying the compiler) or is practical to work with in Radiant. What...  [Read More]
