Why I'm not worried about stuff like this: 1. The magazine isn't necessarily correct. 2. Blademaster could have misinterpreted it. 3. I could have misinterpreted Blademaster because of his poor grammar....  [Read More]

Remember that force = mass * acceleration, so for the blue stance, the only mass going into the swing is your wrists and your forearms at most, so there isn't as much force as a full body swing like from yellow. That doesn't mean that red's slowness...  [Read More]

They'll probably have weapons attachable to models, either that or create some kind of D&D style Bag of Holding, like the transporter buffer from EF. That's the best explination for hiding of weapons I've seen....  [Read More]

It is designed to be a first person shooter. How you play the game doesn't affect the genre. Me turning on third person mode in Duke Nukem 3D doesn't make it a "TPS"....  [Read More]

It wouldn't be an opportunity if you were forced to use it. I don't care what other words are in the sentence that have a very small and vague suggestion of forcing the player into using it, it's an opportunity....  [Read More]

1. You've seen about a dozen screenshots. I wouldn't form an opinion based off so little. 2. What makes you think what you see in the screenshots will even be in the game? In some of the early shots we saw Kyle fighting the Jedi Trainer in the Alzoc...  [Read More]

Yeah man, stupid LEC! They should just make a game that creates a universe itself, despite the fact that technology to create something so complex and detailed won't be around for at least another thirty years! I can't believe they still have levels!...  [Read More]

Most of the best games, eh? I have to disagree. Going by PC Gamer's recent top 50 of all time, Half-Life is number one, which is non-linear. The DF/JK series is number five, and they were non-linear by the standards and constraints of maps of their t...  [Read More]

Deus Ex: Invisible War is supposed to be the first truely, totally non-linear game. Mind you there is never going to be a game where a storyline can be made up on the fly, that is impossible. Instead all you have is a larger number of possibilities....  [Read More]

Yeah, rarely do you see blood with a lightsaber wound. You're cutting through so many veins and arteries it's impossible for the thin cauterization to hold back that pressure. Then of course there's the inconsistancy in ANH with the blood in the can...  [Read More]

Only problem, StormHammer, is that using that saber cheat amplifies saber damage by many fold. You're better off with g_dismemberProbabilities 0. JA will probably have something more advanced though. And yes, I did say zero....  [Read More]

You wouldn't be able to control them totally independant of each other. One would rely on the other. If you swing with a right and spin, then swing with the left, it's more like a "supplemental" swing than a full blow, due to physical limit...  [Read More]

Come to #massgames (Massassi Games) on irc.holonet.org. It's pretty much the only place where you can find a good JK or MotS game (although JO is played too). I don't count the Zone, because hardly anyone is there and it's just not good....  [Read More]
