I believe the best option would be to allow for only adjustment of hue, and limit the amount of saturation and luminosity that can be adjusted. This way you keep out the invisible sabers (where you only see the core 'cause someone turned saturation w...  [Read More]

Well, the way I see it, the team has two or possible three options: 1. Try to use JO's SP and hope like hell an SDK comes out so the mod won't suck. 2. Recode the AI, scripting and everything for MP so the could have new weapons and some new, speci...  [Read More]

Raven is developing JA, and simultainiously Vicarious Visions is porting their work to the XBox. The only two platforms we know of for sure are the PC and the XBox. GC and MacOS are likely platforms, and Linux an PS2 are less probable....  [Read More]

You're...kidding right? You're going to live with the horrid DF AI? You're working with this great engine and you're not going to bother making more than DF AI? Please say that's not true... No, it works for all models. Q3Map2 breaks down the model...  [Read More]

I've heard the WLS code kind of blows. They were working with limits that no longer exist because of Q3Map2. You don't need more than 256 map models because map models in Q3Map2 are converted to map geometry, they model file isn't even needed for dis...  [Read More]

1. Wudan's GlaNeo is supposed to work pretty good by now, and he's still doing lots of improvement. Animations shouldn't be that hard soon. Infact, he's done some test poses already. 2. See, now that is a problem. How can you not touch AI unless you...  [Read More]

I ask because I have my own projects to work on this summer. I'm not going to spend on another project unless I'm absolutely sure it's really going somewhere. What kind of coding is done? Weapons, items, all that is easy stuff. What about recoding A...  [Read More]

I had considered joining, but, to be honest, I was not and still am not, entirely sure that any coding is really getting done. I'm sorry, but I don't want to spend time mapping for a mod that doesn't even have some promising code yet. Not to say that...  [Read More]
I meant for the props. MD3s are a pain in the ass to work with, especially with MilkShape. It's much easier if you can just click Save instead of bothering to make the QC and all that crap to get it into Radiant. Trust me, for map models, you don't w...  [Read More]
My only complaint is that the textures lack some detail. By the way, why are you guys using MD3s when Q3Map2 and GtkRadiant support model formats such as OBJ, 3DS, or even straigh Milkshape3D (MS3D) files?...  [Read More]

That's why I really liked Deus Ex's Hong Kong. Do to engine limitations, they couldn't make it that jam packed with people, though. However it makes sense. It's at night, it's under martial law, and it's in the future where the world is very differen...  [Read More]

I really hope so. More importantly, they need to make sure there is a throwing animation this time around. I can't imagine them letting that go by again. And also importantly, stormtroopers should take advantage of their low yield thermal detonator...  [Read More]

You know, 1.03 was a great improvement for SP. It also added EAX which many of us enjoy greatly. If anyone cares, you can fix 1.04's nerfed saber with a few cvars (not saying Raven shouldn't have fixed it or made these cvars default)....  [Read More]

I think patches should alter gameplay if necessary. I think what happened with 1.03, is that Raven didn't realize the new problem created by their patch. They obviously fixed this in 1.04. You may think the sabers are totally nerfed in 1.04, and you...  [Read More]
