Just a quick note; the area with the switch opening the door to the switch to the elevator to the big secret area has a bit in the top of the cave where the void is visble as a thin hairline crack. Not very noticeable, but it's there all the same....  [Read More]

Gromas could use some nice stuff. Anteevy doesn't need mirrors, and besides, it would ruin the framerate. Perhaps just a shiny shader? Detention center could use a lake at the bottom of the big open area, with the base being supported by big beams. I...  [Read More]

They actually do as much damage in DF as a regular blaster. What I'd suggest is to make the fists bigger for the final release. Looked rather small here....  [Read More]

True, the ingame music was fine; it was just the Star Wars theme at the start which didn't sound up to par. Some other stuff which would be nice to see improved: -The elevator after the key door has a strange glitch; the wall opposite the player has...  [Read More]

The music is nice, as in Star Wars, but you should really do better than MIDI. Just because it worked well when the game was released doesn't mean it doesn't sound terrible (at times) now....  [Read More]

Areas which could (and should!) be improved: -Secret area with interrogation droids. Lots of stuff should be added here; pillars, sloped walls, pipes, the lot. It's far too bare. -Some of the exterior cliffs were too straight. Add outcroppings, littl...  [Read More]

Just a quick note on DFs 3D. You can walk under walls and doors and stuff, also jump over things. These connected walls are adjoins. You can't adjoin more than one wall to another wall. So a window in a wall is possible, but another window directly a...  [Read More]

It's a good idea to check if you've got the latest patch; otherwise it's certain it won't work. I had the problem you mentioned on the original levels once. I recall using ctrl-alt-del to get back to the main menu, and after that it worked fine....  [Read More]

Just decided to pop in. Good stuff: -Fantastic new models. -Lovely exterior. -Great new cutscenes. -Meatier weapons; those new damage sounds work perfectly. -Feels just like DF. Bad stuff: -Lack of detail in base; mainly big secret area, landing pad...  [Read More]

I'm pretty certain there was a destructable wall in the first demo; there was a different demo out a long time ago. It had more generators for enemies, and I think it had a destructable wall blocking one of the secrets. It is possible to make a wall...  [Read More]

Fett just flies around, shooting missles at the player at varying speeds. He's the only enemy in the game who shoots while moving, and also the only one to get stuck against walls all the time. Not a repeater in sight....  [Read More]

I'd have thought some more varied Imperial enemies would be good in the later levels. The problem with those in DF was that in the end every enemy was using the E-11, and it would have been a good idea to throw some Repeater and Mortar wielding fiend...  [Read More]

I didn't like the cutscene that much; the background was somewhat light, the planet was a little cartoonish, and the Crow disappeared after a few seconds which looked a bit odd. But it is the first new pre-rendered cutscene for JO, which is a plus. J...  [Read More]

Funny you should mention Dune. Alasdair MacDonald (of Crazed Mimbanite fame) made some of the best original enemies for DF, and based them off Sardaukars and Harkonnen troops. They looked absolutely fantastic....  [Read More]
