nothing will be visibly different with your image when editing it in an image editing program such as photoshop. it is a channel and not a layer. if you go to channels and select all your color channels as well as your alpha channel, the channel will...  [Read More]

i think it might be a good idea to download the .glm imort plug-in first as 3dsmax does not come with the ability native to it. and finding import/export plugins for 3dsmax is a nightmare....  [Read More]

if the ears are part of the head, then making them transparent would leave holes in the head(if they are not just modeled separately and stuck on after the modeling of the head that is). if that doesn't bither you, then i suggest using a file format...  [Read More]

i knew what he meant. but if the ears were modeled as a part of the head, and not stuck on as another part of the model, then you will have holes in the head. as far as an alpha channel, i am unsure as to how you think making something semi-transpar...  [Read More]

uhm, that is not removing parts of a model......that's removing parts of a skin. :) certain parts can be turned off and on using your skin files. for example, turn torso_shoulderpad off by finding the reference to it in the skin and then immediately...  [Read More]

tags can be an issue that is difficult to understand in the beginning. as far as sabers go their only real function is to tell the game where to attach the saber blade to the hilt. if you get milkshape and download the glm import tool, the tags will...  [Read More]
