When you say pie, do you mean pi (3.141....; irrational number used to find the measurements of circles) or does that have absolutely no relevance to this....  [Read More]

It would be cool, but in realism, two double edged lightsabers at once would be disastrous. Your more likely to hit yourself while running then hit an enemy. Is there any safe way to train?...  [Read More]

For the sake of all of the SP mappers (I am one of them), I hope there are in game cinematics. Of course, there will be pre-rendered cinematics for some things (like JK2's .roq files), but they will almost definitely stick to ingame cutscenes for mos...  [Read More]

I hope it's not too late. I got a late start to mapping and have just released my first map to a major download site (massassi, but it's not up yet) and that's merely in beta. It took me a month to truly got the hang of it....  [Read More]

Okay, now I'm getting very frustrated. I deleted every func(new save name). Still didn't work. I checked the junk. Warning: Misc model with modelkey 0. I deleted every single model. Still doesn't work AHHHHHHH!...  [Read More]

GRRRRRRRRRRR. Still there. Why...why...why...why...why...why <pounds moniter screen>. Wait, would a 1 unit thick fuinc_breakable do it? I've had one for three weeks, but it hasn't caused a problem until now. Not the first frustration. Oh well....  [Read More]

I'm getting SV:setbrushmodel:NULL now too. I just added three hint brushes (which I still don't understand). I got the error so I deleted them. Didn't work. I checked my movers (only doors and statics). They all (except the doors, which don't need o...  [Read More]

New questions. This is, as you can see, an extremely long post. Why not just always use hints? They could have ommited an entire shader. If the areaportal/hint brush divides the nodes, meaning things in other nodes aren't drawn, how does the door...  [Read More]

Sorry I didn't post about it yet, I had to leave for school 10 minutes after my last post. The areaportals are working! Lassev, I don't get it. If the hint brushes in those corridors had no purpose, why use them? Here's a question for my fellow SP m...  [Read More]

When I do find the exact door, I will continue trying to increase fps. The low fps would be because everything is one node, meaning everything is drawn at once. If an entire area is blocked off by structural brushes (and an areaportal or hint), the n...  [Read More]

I deleted all func_breakables. Getting closer. So far, there are no misc_models, func_statics, and func_doors. I am certain it's an entity because when I deleted all entities, the error disappeared, but my skyboxes all became skyboxes with notex on...  [Read More]

Okay I've deleted every misc_model and func_static. I'm almost certain it's either the T-juntion or the node with no volume problem. The only challenge with the node with no volume problem (wow, matches line to line for six words. Freaky lol) is that...  [Read More]

Well, I think I've narrowed the culprit down to the func_statics (I'm not too surprised). I've saved under a new map file and deleted the doors, and the breakables, leaving thr statics. I'm about to check the junk.txt file....  [Read More]
