If looping sounds cant be global, how am i supposed to insert a rain sound that is heard troughout the map? And dont tell me to plant hundreds of speakers, because the map is rather huge....  [Read More]

I'd say dont restrict the speed at all, just make it cost lots of stamina. That way, you COULD run/strafe like a madman, but you'd get tired soon and any adversary would finish you off really fast....  [Read More]

This problem usualy occurs when you mirror certain objects. Im not familiar with max 5, but i suppose its not that different from 4.2 Anyhow, try selecting an object that you know will 'float around' Go to your utilities tab, and click 'reset xform'...  [Read More]

There are several plugins for 3dmax to export/import md3s. But i havent heard of any plugins to import glms, so yeah, i'd say milkshape is the only program that can import glms... (maybe softimage can do it though, i have no expirience with that one)...  [Read More]

I'm not sure about using 'tag_something' i always use 'bolt_something' but i guess they both work fine. A flying vehicle usualy needs bolt_muzzle1, to be be placed at the end of the gun(s). (just create muzzle2, muzzle3 etc if you needs multiple gun...  [Read More]

Replacing body parts can only be done by importing the entire mesh, and re-weighing all the pieces. Wich would be ALOT of work, and would border the insane if you wanted to include the lods....  [Read More]
