Alright, I understand that you can't export to jk3 directly from Milk Shape. But what programs can you do it with? I made made a few edited models and skins for a 'Kill Bill' mod i'm working on with some other people, but I really need to see how they look in the game. I have heard that you can do it with some expencive programs but are there any that are free? Someone please help, it's really important.
Do you mean to make glm files?
Milkshape 3D can export to MD3, so do that, then get the JK2 SDK (seen as JK3 tools still aren't out) and use MD3View to convert it to a glm file.
Anyone got a tutorial link that covers Milkshape to Jedi Outcast? (same method as JA so don't worry :D)
Where do you get MD3view, perchance?
Or does Gmax do the same thing?
The glm's you create with milkshape and md3view are only good for map objects or weapons, anything static really.
Player models, however, cant be exported using milkshape.
You'll need 3dmax 4 or higher (wich is the expensive program you mentioned) to make player models.
As far as i know G-max is like milkshape...no skin modifier, you need 3D max 4+ or (possibly) softimage for player models.
Where do you get MD3view? I did not get it with the JA tools pack. O_o
go to jkIIfiles and download the tools packs for jedi outcast.....md3 view is included with it......

no, 3ds Max has a skin modifier in addition to the uvw unwrap modifier. The skin modifier is used to weight the model, something you can't do in gmax.
