Hee, it's nice to see that Grim Fandango has painted yet another citizen with it's golden brush of delight. With almost everybody that has played it praising it as one of the greatest games ever, plus most reviews, it's almost impossible to think th...  [Read More]

Unfortunately, the cutscene music is mixed with the voices and such which play over them, so it is not possible to extract just the music from them. I'm fairly certain that they weren't released seperately either. :(...  [Read More]

Have you tried setting the compatability mode back to, say, Win98? That could allow you to use the workaround that Jofa has shared....  [Read More]
The only other way I think of justifying is that we didn't see the entire journey through the forest. I mean, this thing is supposed to be a gigantic maze of a forest - so why did it only occupy about seven screens? Surely there's far more than that....  [Read More]
Heh, don't worry, others have noticed it before. I recall there being quite an in-depth discussion about this a long while back, possibly on the old pre-LucasForums forums. It is a pretty big plot hole, but it's nothing I've lost sleep over. It was...  [Read More]

I'm not sure. With graphics progressing as quickly as they are (click here (http://thrik.dodnetwork.com/gobble/ue32.jpg) for an ingame shot of the next Unreal Engine) I wouldn't be surprised if the prerendered backgrounds of Grim Fandango could be cr...  [Read More]

I like it. It's good that you're explorting outside of what's normally done (a straight 3d -> 2d rendition of the characters) and developing your own ideas and thoughts about them. You've got quite a good style going here - the only problem I can...  [Read More]

Yeah, it'd be far easier. But it's not going to happen - no admin wants to have 90% of LucasForums all sporting the same generic skin whilst the few that have planned ahead like us have pretty new themes. Myself and various others are trying to get...  [Read More]

Unfortunately, it's not in my hands. Until the LucasForum administrators decide to go through with the update they've claimed multiple times to be doing then I cannot do anything about the style. Trust me, I'd rather have the new style up too. James...  [Read More]

Resident hack-saw, bgbennyboy, tried but said that due to Grim handling things slightly differently it doesn't quite work. It seems that whilst the 3D characters and objects will go up into a higher resolution, the pre-rendered backgrounds remain at...  [Read More]

Although almost certain not to ever happen, it'd work best if it were set in the same world, but with a new main character. Manny has moved on, his part in this twisted tale is over. But there are many like him in the land of the dead. To make sure...  [Read More]
