Yes, the complication is that Manny says he does not know why he ended up in the DoD. That implies that he doesn't know what he did in life that was bad, but surely he would remember if he did something particularly bad. It can't really be explained...  [Read More]

How did I forget that? I just made a point of it in my above post. This would explain why he has no idea what he did wrong in life - because it was stolen from him. However, if this was true then there would have been a ticket for Manny in the suitc...  [Read More]

I'm torn really. On one hand, Manny could have been conned out of his ticket like everybody else (including Salvador) and forced into the dead-end job at the DoD. This would explain why he has no idea what he did wrong in life - because it was stole...  [Read More]

Well done :) I'm not a nazi so I don't require this, but a small "Thanks to Thrik for the design" or something in your news post would be nice. Anyways.. enjoy the design....  [Read More]

Taken already :p I was working on the design for a personal site last night, but decided afterwards that I wasn't satisfied with it. So, I've scrapped it and am giving away the design to anybody who wants it - but only one person. I don't want to se...  [Read More]

Non-commercial mods and fan games have been shut down by LucasArts in the past - in fact, one of them might have been a Grim Fandango related one. I personally dislike the idea of a fan version anyway. Not to be mean or anything, but most of us lack...  [Read More]

Firstly, this is the wrong forum. I've moved it for you but please take more care in future. With that said.. I had this same problem on Year 2. Basically, one of the files on my CD had become corrupted due to a scratch or something on the CD. This...  [Read More]

I find it extremely hard to choose a favourite list, simply because Grim Fandango is packed with memorable and likable characters. Manny is of course the favourite. His style and attitude is great, plus he seems like a genuinely good soul unlike mos...  [Read More]

I drew this last night, figured I might as well post it here. It's supposed to represent your average Grim Fandango fanboy. http://thrik.dodnetwork.com/bleh/fanboy2.jpg I also did a Monkey Island version. http://thrik.dodnetwork.com/bleh/fanboy.jp...  [Read More]

Edges like the MI forum wouldn't be suitable in my opinion. The look is supposed to be a used office document, not an old-fashioned torn up piece of paper. Markings would work well, but torn paper and such would be a bad idea....  [Read More]

The reason I myself wasn't too affected by her death was because we met her for only a tiny amount of time - we didn't get to see inside her character or anything. Her death was sad, but not because of the loss of her itself - but the way it was port...  [Read More]

The way the game executed Lola's death was awesome. Despite us only seeing her for a few seconds in the game, her death brought a lot of sadness to a lot of us. It takes a lot of skill to be able to do that I'd imagine....  [Read More]
