I am working on creating a site detailing collecting of LucasArts. Now there are a lot of things I have, but some I don't and I need more info on them and pictures if possible.

Grim Fandango Collector's Edition - what does it look like? What is in the box?
Any "toys", i.e. plush dolls, etc? What are they commonly called? Where were they available.
Mac Full Throttle w/ Key Chain - Does this actually exist?

There will be more but that is it for now.

50 views and no responses?

When I get the site in a more finished state, I will post it. Perhaps then I can receive some input once you see I am serious.

Also if anyone is broke and selling any of these items, I am buying.

I saw this thread... but I don't know about any of the stuff you mentioned... so I didn't reply. And I guess that's why no one else replied either

But anyway... Your site sounds really good and I can't wait to see :D . I'll be really intrested in it.

(PS, did you really help develop vb?)

Sounds funky.

You missed out on this though.

Aaah. If I'd seen that I definetly would have bought it :(

Yes I am one of the four vBulletin developers. Feel free to email me at freddie@vbulletin.com :)

I would have also bought that Grim Fandago stuff as I don't have the soundtrack. Autographed games are nice but I would be more interested in other items like dolls, shirts, figures, etc.

More importantly, I am looking for pictures of this stuff for the guide. If I am able to purchase fine, but pictures would be great.

I believe it contains a Manny figure, if not other things. Some people on here do have it, I've just never seen it.

The Grim collectors edition as far as I know didn't contain a Manny figure, that was sent separately in the shipping box as a company store gift (at least my Grim collctors edition didnt have one). The Grim collectors edition is very similar to the EMI collectors edition - in that the box is made out of harder paperboard (though the Grim one, unlike the EMI one, is a two-piece box where the front slides off, like the older LEC games), and there are silver embossed foil signatures of Tim Schafer, the lead programmer, artist, etc etc like the EMI box. The game CD's were in a carbboard foldey thing that when opened displayed the entire year 1-4 mural that shows up on the save/load game screen (but I think the regular boxed version had this paperboard CD case as well?).

I believe the FT keychain, like the manny figure, was given away as a bonus gift outside the box when you ordered it from the company store - the keychain is hard rubber and is the Corley Motors "CM" logo that is rotating above the corley factory at the end of the game.

I don't think there have been any plush toys made unless you count Star Wars toys. The only figures I know of are the Gladius ones. I don't even know if they actually made more than the Mongrel Man one (there were suppoesd to be four I think?).

Have there ever been any LucasArts adventure game Posters released?

If there are, I really need to get them ;)

Yes. All the early games had posters (like Maniac Mansion, Zak McKracken, Loom, Monkey Island 1, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, etc.)

If you ever get the one for Loom, please scan it. I've heard that it shows a room in the City of the Glassmakers, containing hourglasses, that was removed from the final game. (It's similar in that regard to the close-up of the dog from the back of the MI1 box.)

Hi all,

just came back from a business travel and took a pic of the Grim Fandango version you talked about (mine has 4 signatures in blue color) and the Grim Fandango toy.

Only problem: I have no time to get some webspace to upload and link to it.
If one of you has webspace I will gladly send the pics to him / her (500 kb each because of a high resolution).
So please let me know and I will send it.

I bought my copy used 2 years ago and it arrived with none of the extras.
I think the Soundtrack was only available by LEC website store-order and some tiny amounts were sold at some sites specialised in Soundtracks.
I got my 2 copies from Ebay.

The toy was given to people as a promo item.
I bought my copy again on Ebay (last year).

Hope it helps and I'm curious about this new website you are working on :)

WHOA!

That's some collection man! I also notice the three Sam and Max VHS tapes in the corner of the Grim Fandango box picture... ;)

It would be awesome to have all that Lucas stuff (including the Manny doll).

Freddie, I can't wait to see this website of yours. I'd be willing to help with it, providing scans of some of my stuff...

Just one quick question, do the following count as Lucas Adventure Games? If so, I'm gonna add them to my collection ASAP: Labyrinth (was it ever made for PC?), Indy Desktop Adventure, Star Wars Desktop Adventure, Indy 5, and Indy 6?

I consider Labyrinth to be Lucasarts first adventure game, but it was only released for the C64 and Apple ][.

I'm beginning to think that I hate you Freddie.

My (rather poor, it seems) collection can be seen here. (http://www.geocities.com/adventuregamescollection)

So, if there's anything there you want me to photo in hi-res I can do. The only thing that springs to mind is that Sega Monkey Island I have.

If Labyrinth was C64 and Apple only, I'm collecting all PC Lucasarts games. What I want to know is, do these count as adventures?

Indy 5, Indy Desktop, Star Wars Desktop, and Indy 6?

I'm beginning to think that I hate you Freddie.

Stop beating yourself up. My collection is even poorer.

Hah, good luck. These games are verrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy rare. If you don't know Japanese, you probably will never find them. They do turn up occasionally on Yahoo JP auctions, although they only deliver inside Japan so you need a go-between to forward the package on.

I did manage to get a copy of FmTowns Zak myself. Be aware that they usually go for USD$100+ each, on the rare occasion you do see one on a japanese auction site :)

Freddie, you may want to add the Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis and Last Crusade White Label two-pack to your want-list. It has a slightly different "A Graphic Adventure by Hal Barwood" label on the FoA box, as well as screenshots of slightly alternate FoA and Indy LC interfaces.

I framed this Lechuck Collage that I whipped together, which I then got signed by Earl Boen. Thats the only uber-kewl thing I have.
Thats about it with the exception of my Storage Depot trapped games including triangle dott and my original copy of goldrush....

Earl Boen seemed really desperate for fan mail though, so if you're a Lechuck fan, its awsome. He signed all the stuff I sent, replied to my letter, sent a bunch of his own signed photos and all was done extremly neatly.
But perhaps he is more popular due to his "running away screaming" scene in T3:p

Hey Freddie, I have the Lucasarts Company Store Catalog 1999-2000 in my Lucasarts Adventures collection, and I'll trade with you if you think it's worth anything, or if you can think of anything that you have worth trading it for.

I also have the original boxed "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," complete with 3.5 IBM disks and Grail diary, but I don't want to trade that. It's just that you aren't listing it on your site, so I didn't know if you have it or not.

I have something that I've never seen anywhere else (but not sure if it's rare). It's cruddy and it's Star Wars but it's interesting!

Remember the "behind the magic" CD? Well I've got an "Episode 1: Behind the Magic" too! Has anyone else ever seen this? (I presume they didn't make one for Episode II?)

I have a copy of the Episode I Insider's Guide myself. I don't really know why people don't sell it too often, as it doesn't strike me as something really valuable.

(I personally don't think it's as good as the classic trilogy's Behind The Magic, since that one has much cooler stuff like the Lost Scenes with Biggs and Luke on Tatooine.)

I've got this really sweet Star Wars poster my mom found and is now hanging in my basement. The funny thing about it is, is that it was made before they cast Mark, and the rest of them, so the people drawn are ambiguous. I do wonder what its worth, although I'm not selling.
