That would be cool. Imagine suddenly having one or more units turn on you or at least refuse to obey orders during a battle because they were unhappy with your management style. Bickering between the shareholders and so forth... Of course, that's n...  [Read More]

And I hope they're also adding the new terrain features, such as areas that are only passable by infantry. That, combined with larger maps, base placement and troop transports should do wonders for enhancing ground combat, which so far has been the w...  [Read More]

I agree with Thrawn. The Arc Hammer will probably have some weapons for self-defence, but its main attraction will of course be that it produces Darktroopers, not that it kicks arse in battle. Decent hull strength, a few lasers/turbolasers and no fig...  [Read More]

All this talk about Darktroopers is making me wonder if the Rebels will get a new (non-hero) ground unit too. Maybe some Tauntaun-mounted troopers?...  [Read More]

Not trying to start a flame war but I CANNOT see Kyle carrying one of those Dark Trooper's weapons! I'm afraid he did. In the original Dark Forces it was the most powerful weapon in the game....  [Read More]

It would also be a major pain in the arse to see what your infantry were doing. Either that, or you'd have to content yourself with only seeing your AT-ATs as high as their knees....  [Read More]

Darktroopers can use jetpacks too? Oh, the tactical possibilities... I think the rancor-riding Dathomir witch is a regular unit, not a hero. If so, and if it is anything near as tough as the regular rancors, that's gonna be one badass unit. Great...  [Read More]

I think the Sith artifact will be a McGuffin, an item that's only there in Campaign mode and that gives your troops a boost or unlocks some unit or other in the campaign. My guess is that it will mostly be a story device to keep the story moving forw...  [Read More]
Also, the Eclipse is on a much lower plane than the Executor, which is lower than the Imperials, so the vertical height can make the scale look off in screen shots as well. That's what I thought, but it was good to have it confirmed. Something like t...  [Read More]
And the debate rages on... It's an extremely long and convoluted story, but the size of the Executor has been given as anything from 8,000 metres to (I believe) 19,800 metres, depending on the source material. I think the current official size is so...  [Read More]

Can I reply with "All of the above"? For me, if I have to pick one, the biggest thrill is of course the addition of a brand new faction and the subsequent ability to have three-way Galactic Conquest scenarios. But the new units for the ot...  [Read More]

I like that they're going to expand the ground battles. That has always been the least entertaining part of the game, in my opinion. Getting more options and more terrain should breathe some more life into ground combat....  [Read More]

I find that Acclamators are still useful in later stages, particularly since they have proton torpedo (and concussion missile) launchers. Always nice for targetting the Rebel ships' shield generators......  [Read More]

The rancor rider is the standard Nightsister unit (the non-hero version). Does that mean the Underworld gets to build Rancor-riding Nightsisters as a unit? :ears1:...  [Read More]

If a capital ships cant see it then nothing will unless its a specialised recon vehicle (the Awing is in this category). TIE scouts should be able to see cloaked ships and this would make them really useful hence more people would use them because th...  [Read More]

Cloaking is specific to the Empire and Underworld. I will say the Rebels do have some fun sensor jamming tech that will keep enemy players on their toes. :) That's even better. Gives the different factions a more distinctive flavour....  [Read More]

They will be, at least as indigenous natives. Their homeworld of Honoghr is included in the Galactic map, and I imagine you'll run into Noghri there. If they'll be a recruitable unit... I don't know, but I doubt it. We've heard about most of the new...  [Read More]
