In a word... "No". That would be breaking the law, which is frowned upon. I'm sure if you contacted LucasArts they would replace your damaged disc. Also, thankou for posting in the most relevant place about this disconcerting matter. Anyo...  [Read More]

I never really like Twin Peaks, although maybe I was too young at the time like Tones. TV-wise, recently, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" has been airing on BBC4 for about a month or two, and It rules. It probably won't gain much popularity though,...  [Read More]

May Day means polling day for us in the UK (I think), it's a riot stepping into one of those porta-cabins and voting for your favourite local candidate (I'll bet). May Day means people dancing around the May Poler on Blue Peter, brandishing some cl...  [Read More]

Your system is way too fast, Grim doesn't like hyperactive processors. If/When you get the full game, the patch should sort most problems out, but for now, your best bet is CPU Killer (http://www.cpukiller.com/products/cpukiller/). If that doesn't w...  [Read More]

Then you should also try: Operating System -Upgrade it! Get the latest service pack blah blah etc DirectX (Non-XP only) -Uninstall it, and re-install the version on the disc! For details on how to uninstall it, see here (http://www.lucasforums.com/...  [Read More]

Um, you'll have to climb up and down the ladder more than once. I did notice that Manny does get stuck on the ladders sometimes, though - I generally found that holding down up or tapping it a few times let me up....  [Read More]

It is, but that's not the problem. The problem is that people assume that anything older than 5 years is abandonware. This, I'm afraid to say, is by no means true. I'm older than 5 years, and I don't consider myself abandonware. Abandonware is only...  [Read More]

What Operating System are you using? If it's Windows 2000, then it can be a little hit and miss when it comes to loading Grim Fandango. Try updating to the latest Service Pack by using Windows Update. Also, right click on desktop and select properti...  [Read More]

Yeah; the bad news is that ScummVM doesn't fully support Full Throttle yet. The even worse news is that because ScummVM uses different types of save files, nobody will have a save file for you. Still pissed? Well, future releases of ScummVM that will...  [Read More]

ScummVM is probably nicely screwed up. I'm not 100% on the joyful procedure, but this should hopefully be foolproof. I don't know if you are using LEC Quick & Easy or ScummVM Quick & Easy, they're essentially the same, so if you're using Scum...  [Read More]

As long as you own the original Grim Fandango, and don't plan on distributing the discs, it's perfectly legal. Use ScummREV (http://scummrev.mixnmojo.com) to rip the *.wav files, then you can use a program like Nero to burn to disc....  [Read More]

If Grim Fandango won't load at all, or is jerky, jumpy, crashy, or trigger-happy, then you should try all the following (fun) options. If you're stuck on the conveyor belt / elevator, then you should also read on. First of all -> For the love o...  [Read More]
