If it's easy to change the flame size of an existing one, that would be even easier *nods* Having since CoD and gone *blinkblink* I don't think I have it. lol. What is it and why do I need it? :) The end result I need it just a smaller flame :) But... [Read More]
Bah, I haven't gotten round to learning shader editing yet lol. Ok I will havta have a look into that. Once again back to where I'm not sure where lol. I guess the search function for a start? Thanks Wedge :)... [Read More]
As the thread name implies, I'm trying to get a candle. One for a start, then I can do likewise wherever else I want one. 1. I've searched (both JO and JA Mapping) 2. I've tried all the flame effects (they're too big) 3. And I know about dynamic lig... [Read More]
1. You can load all the textures from JA, just select which level you want to use the textures from, from the ... TEXTURE Menu :D 2. Get Radiant 1.4 *nodnod* and make sure it's installed correctly :)... [Read More]
The tutorial worked great to bring the lift back up again but once I got on it, it wouldn't go down again. I had to go back through the trigger, by which time, not being on the platform, it went down without me lol.... [Read More]
Ah yes, it's your tutorial I downloaded :D it's neat except I didn't get it to work in JA either. I'll try it with func_door and see what happens :)... [Read More]
You tried using trigger brushes around the edge of the func_plat (i.e. if your func_plat settles into a hole in the floor, the triggers would be laid on the edge of the hole)?... [Read More]
I have no ego, I've only been mapping for 2 or 3 months, I don't mind using something that's in idiot's language  and the more resources the better :)... [Read More]
Neat :D Thanks Wade :D I have a nice little compile-jo.bat in my maps folder now :D Say, I'm thinking of possibly -not- having vehicles on this map, so I can have decent JO-JA compatibility. If I decided I did want the vehicles is this possible o... [Read More]
I read on another thread a guy who wanted to make a JA map work in JO. Copying textures over is OBVIOUS :P However, it was mentioned to do a compile with game -jo (or something to that effect), but this doesn't appear in Radiant. I am mapping in JA... [Read More]
I occasionally find, placing the weapon/item -just- above the floor solves this problem, even if by default it falls back on the floor again. Try that and see if it works for you.... [Read More]
RichDiesel is back up by the way... but you simply keep cutting your brush up, creating the shape for your window. Then you deselect all, select your window, make it detail and put a glass texture on one side of it. Voilа a window.... [Read More]
I'm not thinking really of implementing this, but extra knowledge is always good lol. If I created a fog brush in the shape of a beam (so I assume a thin cylinder), do i just then set it a light value or something so it's a beam?... [Read More]
My map already runs at only acceptable FPS at 1024 * 768 and perfectly fine and 800 * 600. Above 1024 * 768 I don't know. Then again my comp hasn't got an amazing processor nor an amazing graphics card so I might have to try it on a friends comp when... [Read More]
