Actually, that isn't necessary... I think it's if the sky shader has that parameter, then you should manually turn it off for faster compile times, since with the sun entity, you don't need to have the surfacelight parameter on, but it will still use...  [Read More]

With JA, I just try to make sure my framerate is not worse than the basic maps. For some reason, I get (relatively) bad framerates in Academy, even with special effects off - so I know if my map is getting really good framerate, I have some space to...  [Read More]

To make usual enemy NPCs to not attack the player, either the player's team needs to be changed, or the NPC's needs to be. Usually, for specific NPCs in a map, this one done with a script... like the bad guys in the Jedi Outcast bar....  [Read More]

I usually use the ones labeled (test) since they don't take very long, and the end product is completely built, if not pretty or efficiently. For a final project, use the final ones. But seriously, you shouldn't pump out a "final project"...  [Read More]
