heh heh... dessann was a bit dumb... With FPS games there is almost nothing that will stop me playing through them.... mainly because they are so short. Even with annoying ones i tend to find myself thinking "just another hour or two and i can... [Read More]
i stopped downloading these things once i got over about 17... :D Seriously though, im not convinced about the point of putting on all the copy protection... in this specific case it would probably have had no effect as it is a pre-release version... [Read More]
heh. most of the time i didn't realise i HAD a new weapon until about 2 levels after i had picked it up. :( Several I never used. Not going to happen, but ideally I'd go for: - Fists for knocking out disarmed people - BlasTech DL-44 or Bryar Pist... [Read More]
they look cool. is it me or do they have a much more colourful look than JO? maybe they are trying to recreate the 70s disco feel of MotS :D... [Read More]
the reason you can't block the concussion is that it is a patch of compressed air.... so there is nothing there to block. Personally i think it is important there is the odd weapon you can't block. I always hated the level with all those disruptor... [Read More]
i always liked the Concussion rifle... it seemed much more starwarsy than the disruptor (star trek) and the flechette and rocket launcher they seemed compelled to include just to make it like every other FPS. Doesn't look like we will get ANY reall... [Read More]
ok, i only played the demo of EF1 (ok, terrible MP) but i did find several bits of JO to be a bit TOO star treky (disruptor). I did play DS9 THe Fallen after playing JO and, although the graphics were looking a bit dated, i did like a few things ab... [Read More]
im not sure if these previews are making me excited or worried... but im leaning towards excited now (even if it does seem to be a pretty inacurate preview). Things like chopping down trees and more interactivity (with npcs and the environment) are... [Read More]
sounds like with dual sabers you might be able to put (throw) away one and then use single stances. maybe. i always thought the stances were a good idea done badly, so i'd be happy if every saber setup only had one stance. but that is just me.... [Read More]
i have NO IDEA what that is supposed to be. :( these pics are all a bit of a mixed bag... nice graphics in places, but little things wrong that ruin the effect. Snow troopers look cool, but the tauntauns look silly standing on those hills. Dual... [Read More]

MoTS had as much, if not more, gameplay as JK, it had a superset of weapons, more new force powers than JA has compared to JO, improved engine, additional multiplayer modes, etc... i'd rather pay expansion prices :D... [Read More]
an expansion by any other name...;) im not that impressed... looks like something that someone on the web has knocked up in photoshop... and i don't get what the stone effect has to do with the game. I always liked the Tie Fighter, X-wing vs Tie... [Read More]
yah, but im pretty sure any new pc bought in the last 2 years would have included a DVD rom. THey are so amazingly cheap these days that anyone who has a pc with a graphics card good enough to play JA (Radeon, nvidia) is likely to have a Ј25 dvd rom... [Read More]
are there any stats on how many pcs have DVD? i would have thought it was way over 50% these days... most new pcs come with DVD rom drives as standard. even most notebooks have them now. I would have thought any pc fast enought to run modern games wo... [Read More]
i already said that! :p actually, what activision said was something along the lines of "we have no idea when it is coming out, that is entirely up to ID. but we thought it best to move our prediction back a bit to allow room for delays".... [Read More]
ok, i admit it, i skipped a bit towards the end... Unless the reviews blow them out of the water Doom3 and HL2 are going to sell like mad... but i can't see any point in putting off JA (unless it is maybe until just before xmas for the present marke... [Read More]
id seemed silly that you could casually pull the weapons from groups of most people, but some people you just couldn't. I'd also go for the "hold down" approach. With tougher enemies hanging onto their weapons for longer. You could have a... [Read More]
yeah. in sp it was silly.... you could walk into a room, pull the weapons from the hands of a whole platoon and then slice them up at your leisure as they ran around like fools... they need to add in the ability for disarmed troopers to either run af... [Read More]
Originally posted by txa1265 Star Wars doesn't have the literary depth of LOTR, but it is a decent story arc ... and the prequel trilogy is also pretty good, in some ways having more depth than the OT - it is just not so much fun to tell the story o... [Read More]
yeah... i hated that force stealth level too... and i hate levels that automatically fail you when you could obviously attempt to continue. I'd have been happier if maybe upon being detected that stealth level just started spawning infinite amounts... [Read More]
hell yeah! would stop that silly tactic of walking into a room and just disarming the whole platoon. Running away would be good in that you would have to catch them all before they alert anyone else. Picking up weapons or drawing backup weapons (kni... [Read More]
it was the Speed or Random death in single player saber fights that bugged me the most about JO. Half the time when i lost OR WON it seemed more to do with luck than judgement. Maybe i just wasn't very good. I would have liked at least ONE all new... [Read More]
