true, to get good looking flowing clothing it would have to be animated per-poly, or with a hell of a lot of bones...for a simple cape, 4 bones or even more would be needed at least. Secondary motion in the key with making it look realistic, the litt...  [Read More]

basically simulated clothing physics are out- its not really viable but animating the cloth manually is definitely a possibility. Raven may use mo-cap clothing on top of their existing skeleton, takes less effort to manually key-frame the whole thing...  [Read More]

if u guys are talking about simulated cloth movement, it is possible in q3 engine, or any engine for that matter(just requires coding it in), but it'll take up waaay too much cpu time for the detail u guys are talkin about. Example: Ever played Hitma...  [Read More]

it'd be a cinch to do, so why not? just flip some bones around, no problem! many computer nerds are left handed, so give the option! Also, i wanna suggest that ppl who post in this thread actually give their handedness, because i rekon the ppl who a...  [Read More]

'stealth' isnt really a thing jedi do very often...theyve got more of a james bond feel to them..like obiwan on kamino, "the names' wan, obi-wan" ya know :) the jk2 'steath' bits are enough for me...i hope you're not suggesting an invisible...  [Read More]

eh? if you kill something thats trying to kill you, you dont fall to the dark side...thats silly.... anyways for a quest like this, my guess is that you simply have to get by it, or trap it somehow, rather than kill it...or its possible that you'd ki...  [Read More]
surely you're not suggesting that 2 blades = 2x damage ? it requires a lot more skill to use such a weapon, especially if the blades cut into anything...i bet the sith training academy has a lot of little alien kids with missing limbs :) onto the st...  [Read More]

i want it to be manual, and depend on where you aim. you must block each saber attack with a directional press of your block or 'defence' key, similar to the way you attack. A correct block means 100% damage blocked, if you're too slow or go the wron...  [Read More]

I just want JK saber duels to be as exciting as the ones in the movies, cos thats what this is all about When swordfighting in any style, there are specific offensive and defensive moves. But in jk2 right now, its just all offensive, (except in SP b...  [Read More]

i thought of the idea of manual blocking way back when i bought JK2, when i read the manual. I mistakenly got the impression that you had to block manually by pressing attack and the direction of the attack. I was wrong, but i thought it would be a r...  [Read More]

i posted some ideas in the other thread before this one was started up, so i'll put em up again here for everyone to discuss... Saber Combat: Blocking moves must be done with a direction, ie. if you're being attacked from the left, you must press BL...  [Read More]

true very much solo my opinion is that a game is really fun if you feel like you're in the places it depicts and it feels like you're doing what the game depicts. BF1942 is a classic example, ive always wanted to know what it was like fighting in ww2...  [Read More]
