Well, I've answered this question a couple of times before. Here are links to the threads so that I don't have to re-type 'em: (TSL)How to get a good portrait for you character (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=184354) Creating new Portrai...  [Read More]

:golfclap: nicely done. The cloth texture that you used gives it a wonderful chainmail effect, and the browns are a nice contrast to the whites....  [Read More]

Heh, I didn't think anyone would try and translate that... but yeah, I don't even remember exactly what I wrote, I kinda got excited with the fading of the letters. :xp: I guess that's the tricky thing of adding any kind of text to a mod. There's bou...  [Read More]

I just downloaded it, and you've done some excellent work here SS. The military green is a nice shade, and much better than the bright colours that are usually seen in Kotor. That chain gun looks uber powerful (I can't quite make out what the letteri...  [Read More]

Great work, once again sir. I will admit that it saddens me greatly that you do not (yet?) mod for TSL. All of my work on TSL has been for the Revenge of Revan. When Logan23 is ready to release it, you'll see what I've been up to :naughty:...  [Read More]

That's a nice looking suit of armour. It looks like you used the new batsuit from "The Dark Knight" as a template. The effect works really well. The Sith logo on the shoulder is a nice touch....  [Read More]
I only use gmax (the free one, can't remember which version), and the same thing always happens to me, but IIRC only with the TSL underwear models (both male & female). The N_Mandalorian.mdl was fine, so was Mira's jacket and the dancer's outfit....  [Read More]

Btw,why is the model not converting like it converted for you? I don't know why it wouldn't work. Most of the time I just play around with things until something good happens, and I try to remember how I did it....  [Read More]

alright, I'm at home, and I can check everything for sure now. When you run a mdl through mdlops, one of the files it creates is a text file. In this case, it would be "pfbam-textures.txt" and it contains the name of the default texture fo...  [Read More]

If you changed the envmap in the appearance.2da, then I think you will get a baremetal shine for every armour that this character wears. That isn't always good, because there are several that use other envmaps (some use CM_Bright to give parts of the...  [Read More]

not important but bandon was never revans apprentice True, he's more accurately the apprentice of Revan's apprentice, but my point was that most of the lightsaber wielding male Sith were bald (Malak, Bandon, Uthar Wynn, Sith Governor (http://starwar...  [Read More]

if you want to make him recruitable, I'd suggest using one of the bald PC male heads (re-skinned of course). That way, he'll have all the mask and goggle hooks, and be able to wear clothes & armour. It seems to me that most of Revan's apprentices...  [Read More]

Well done. I really like that you used the scout, scoundrel, soldier models (not porting either, since they're included but unused in TSL ). The underwear skins look good too. Which models did you use for each? The only thing I can see tha...  [Read More]

At a guess, it's probably a naming error. What are the names of your mdl, mdx, tga files; and what are the lines in your heads, appearance, and portraits 2da files? If you post those, we can double check 'em. If there isn't anything wrong with the na...  [Read More]

I could try selecting nothing in the vertex column (except eyeLA), if that might be the problem, but I doubt it. I usually only check off the things that I've changed. If I've changed verts for the head and eyes, and the uvw map for the head and tee...  [Read More]

Thanks Svosh, I saw how excited you were with the Zabrak thread, and that maybe you'd be able to find a solution. You might not have had any more success than I did, but you've explained it much more coherently than I did. I'm still so new to 3D mode...  [Read More]

I've tried (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?t=184280&highlight=copy+helpers) adding Mask and Goggle hooks a number of different times, but no luck. That's not saying much, since I've only scratched the surface of modeling heads :xp:, an...  [Read More]

Are the grids on the walls and floors supposed to be black tiles with white grout between them, or silver bars with black space behind them? Either way, I agree that they need a bit more care so that they line up on all 4 sides, to create a continuou...  [Read More]

Not all Mandalorian armour needs to be symetrical. Some of the great re-skins I've seen have used both symetrical white areas, as well as asymetrical. The standard in-game ones are all identically patterned, and it makes them look like uniforms. The...  [Read More]
