Would anyone be interested in converting some (or all) of the old maps from SWBF1 that didn't make it into SWBF2? Maybe we could see a classic Geonosis with the air vehicles put back in like the original version? Do any of the SWBF1 tools work with...  [Read More]

Looks like the hex editing of SWBF2 has begun. ;) In SWBF1 people figured out how to change the classes you can choose (swapping in npc's and jedi as playable for example). They obviously edited Hoth to become a Hero Assault mission (check the HUD...  [Read More]
Not sure what the key combo is on a mac. You could try just the tilde or maybe google it... but if you find the answer, post it here! You could try just tilde, or some combinations with the apple key I guess....  [Read More]

I thought your own vehicles were immune from your own attack (with FF off) unless an enemy was inside them (or if you were a Hero). I stand corrected then!...  [Read More]

Ah good point. Then again, unmanned ground vehicles can be taken by enemies and you can't destroy your own vehicles (though I think you can as a Jedi). Unless I'm wrong? Maybe anyone can destroy any unmanned vehicle... I may be confusing JA Siege wi...  [Read More]

With FF off? That's definately a bug then, because you can't do the same thing to non-ship vehicles. I'll have to try that on my own next time I get a chance......  [Read More]

That's my point, it could have been a misprint. IIRC, it said you got your health back but not ammo. Manuals aren't infallible, and things can change after it goes to print....  [Read More]

Ah, but the kind of kickback we're talking isn't such that you really need to lie prone. We've seen people firing pretty accurately with say, arms outstretched, and yet the power of their weapons speaks for itself. As for assisted aiming, I was real...  [Read More]

Yeah. On the other hand if your space guns have no kick back and assisted aiming, then you don't really need it. I guess you can invent whatever rules you want for sci fi stuff. On the other hand suddenly the guns need "reloading" of clips,...  [Read More]

Yeah you can select it right in the create server menu. If you're using a batch file (which is the coolest way still), just add tat2g_eli 200 200 and you're good to go. ;) It's the only known map that let's you play with Heroes for more than two pe...  [Read More]

Thank you. ;) Getting rid of bots may be the key I was looking for! Only thing is, does this mean you can have more than 2 heroes on at a time? Of course he said "duels" so I don't know he may have only meant 2 anyway. ;)...  [Read More]

Oh well, not a big loss. Hero battles I find extremely boring and random. I was just curious how it was done. ;) For my own curiosity I'll experiment with those settings. Eventually the info will come out for those who want to use it. In the meanti...  [Read More]

A common problem with securom is related to Gravis joystick drivers (Xperience software). Sometimes you can fix it by disabling the software (check task manager) when you run the program. Also you need to insert disc 1 into the drive that you instal...  [Read More]
