Now obviously I'm not one of LucasFilm's crack copyright lawyers or anything like that, but this is how I understand it: The films (Episodes 1-6) in their "finished form" (ie: special editions, dvd editions, etc) are the highest form of ca...  [Read More]

When you think about it, it took Kyle many many years to become a powerful Jedi. In actuality, his power in the first game was due in large part to his proximity to the Jedi spirits in the Valley (his powers greatly diminished after he left and time...  [Read More]

As has been pointed out before, Kyle Katarn is a part of the EU continuity, and features in at least three novels (Soldier for the Empire, Rebel Agent, Jedi Knight) plus has a section in the New Essential Guide to Characters (though they make a mista...  [Read More]

I'd love to see something done like how it was in TPM game for the pc. "You're a no-good killer!" lol... fond memories. Anyway, since you can go to the darkside, I would think (hope) there would be more than just droids and the occasional...  [Read More]

"Hello, I'm Bill, and I'm a Dark Jedi... (*hello Bill!*) I joined the Remnant about 5 years ago. I was a naive kid back then, was into the whole "bring back the glory" trip with Admiral Fayar and all that. Then I met Desann. Sure he...  [Read More]
Really? I thought it was because they weren't allowed to modify the SP source that it wasn't possible. If the Raven guys helped them, maybe it simply couldn't be done, period. That's too bad (if true). ; p...  [Read More]
I know Serious Sam is a simple FPS game, but it did Coop play quite well. The ony thing that was lacking was that only the player who "activated" the scripted sequence would see the cutscene. This could easily be fixed though I would think....  [Read More]

This discussion reminds me of the repeated references to "Thief" when discussing the early news about Obi-Wan (and my own references to "Bushido Blade" when discussing JK2). There's nothing wrong with this kind of thing, but we s...  [Read More]

I think you're nitpicking a little.... look at Vader's saber in ANH (really thin) compared to Luke's saber in ROTJ (big fat and glowy). Plus the sabers in the OT vs. the prequels look very different (better SFX) especially AOTC vs. ANH. The ones i...  [Read More]

Trust me, this "JK3" will be nothing like KOTOR, despite some passing similarities in the graphical elements. I mean, how much like Jedi Oucast is Baldur's Gate 2? That should tell you something right there....  [Read More]

Bah, those brown desert robes and bantha herder outfits worn by the Jedi really lack variety. I'm glad we get the cheesy outfits of other styles. In multiplayer all of that roleplaying stuff comes down to personal preference. So sure, I hope you ge...  [Read More]

Rune nonwithstanding, I always assumed the reason for putting in a "lock on" feature in a game was because of the difficulty in making your responses quick enough in a 3d console game, using only a gamepad. The idea being its too "har...  [Read More]

While that is a valid criticism he makes, it shouldn't matter too much in an actual team game, considering the "team beacon" icon you can turn on (and which is on by default IIRC). Kind of hard to ignore a big symbol above the heads of you...  [Read More]

Pity.. it's a Star Wars gaming classic (along with MotS), and every JK2 player should play it through at least once... if nothing else than for the backstory. Though the MP might be too fast for the casual JK2 player. ; ) I figured a lot of people...  [Read More]

Being in an E3 mood, I went over here to check it out, and Met pointed me to the Obiwanx (we had our own joke... based on our ill-fated LFN site.. obi-wankenobi.net say it real fast... get it?) review. Man, I was in tears! It's (sadly) right on the...  [Read More]
