Jedi and Sith are also supposed to be incredibly rare, but concessions are made for those things in a game because everybody who's a fan wants to relive those parts of the movies in the game. This just gives you the excuse. It's also why the EU is o...  [Read More]

That's right, even though the game was delayed until sometime around February 2005, already spoilers are coming out for the game. Now I'm NOT talking about official stuff posted on LucasArts.com with pictures of the weapons or the official trailer....  [Read More]

It's certainly improved in terms of lower frustration level, more force/saber action and more locales and longer. But if you desire a deeper story, deeper characters, etc you won't find that here. Basically they gave you access to more force powers...  [Read More]

So Hex, you're saying we can play on your server, and Amidala's server? Oh wow, a whole two servers (maybe three if Amidala has her other server up)! Why not avoid the problem in the first place and remove the commands? Then we can use *gasp* ALL Xmo...  [Read More]

majinrevan, I apologize for chastizing you in private about Xmod2. Truly, Xmod2 was a great mod, but now, Hex tells me he has put those amabuse commands BACK IN HIS MOD. "Too late"? You didn't feel that way back in version 2.2.x I guess!...  [Read More]

Nice, although it looks like all this really does is give you the "arms only Kyle" skin in first person view for the saber. It's still not quite as good as the JK2 built in version because of Force Speed messing it up. He also mentions Tr...  [Read More]

It's very close to "the same" as JK2 1.04 (though with minor differences that will bug some people, delighting others; and I don't mean just the obvious ones like the addition of katas, roll stabs, twirls, dual/saberstaff and the removal of...  [Read More]

\rcon <command> That's how it works if you're in-game typing in the console. ; ) If you're typing into a DOS box or through ASE or something, then you don't need the \rcon part, just type the command and it should work, assuming you're using...  [Read More]

About the only games that do any kind of public beta testing (with the exception of Q3 when it came out) tend to be massively multiplayer games that RELY on multiplayer and to a smaller extent games like Diablo 2 for that same reason. LucasArts has...  [Read More]

I take it all back about Xmod2. As of version 2.7, Hex has gone off the deep end and put back in the (pointless, stupid) amabuse commands, assumedly out of a desire to be "more popular" with the h0n0r n00bs and ego-tripping admins out ther...  [Read More]

I'm beginning to agree with Amidala here (gee, imagine that!). If anything in JA is dying, it's the pure FFA community, not the game itself. People who wish to continue playing as the developers intended are moving to other game modes, ones that are...  [Read More]
