GHOUL2 in SP for the lightsabers is nearly flawless. g_sabertracesaberfirst 0 g_saberghoul2collision 1 Use those on the MP server, and GHOUL2 collision is enabled. It's buggy and laggy, so it was turned off. Razorace fixed all this, but never finis...  [Read More]

Well that is odd. My pings hover around twenty or thirty milliseconds with PunkBuster on. Everyone I know uses it, and none of them have problems....  [Read More]

That's the other thing. SafeDisc is getting easier to crack, yet it still costs a whopping amount of money. LEC is not stupid enough to invest in something that will be so easily broken. A multiplayer CD key check is the easiest, most reliable, cheap...  [Read More]

I don't care about a CD key, it doesn't bother me. Even in newer PC games, LEC hasn't had any CD protection at all, so it's unlikely they will for JA. PunkBuster is excellent. I don't know how it was for Half-Life stuff, but it offers such great pro...  [Read More]

Well Luke's black of more of a uniform, it's a style of Jedi garb. Similar the the same old Jedi robes almost all the Jedi ware, it's their proper attire. But Kyle and Jan don't have that kind of uniform... they need to change more......  [Read More]

Early shots of JO had that same bug. It could just as easily be a debugging cvar someone left on. You wouldn't think they would do that for screenshots, but they do. They did for JO. In half the shots the lightsabers didn't have additive blending, th...  [Read More]

Well Detty, things to consider. Firstly, that contradicts what Raven or LEC said, second, that could be a casual player, who doesn't pay attention to how close something is to JO, or how different it is in terms of balance....  [Read More]

Blue actually makes a good deal of sense. Perhaps damage could be upped, but you have to remember that it's mostly flicks of the wrist or one handed swings, those don't do much damage. Red is almost perfect. Only thing is that it should be a slow wi...  [Read More]

Except, the thing is, JO has a lot more advanced features for modders to take advantage of over Elite Force. The thing with JK and JO is that JK was developed by LEC back in 1996 and 1997 on a totally different engine for JO. JA is the same engine w...  [Read More]

Raven didn't actually know about the critical problems in 1.03 at first, e.g. the backstab. They were going to fix it right away, but stupid LEC almost didn't let them. One guy at LEC really pushed for the patch and 1.04 happened, which although not...  [Read More]
The thing about patches is that Raven wanted to continue to patch to fix the problems, but LEC wouldn't let them. Perhaps partly because they saw no point since JA was being developed....  [Read More]

I heard about some type of levitate for JA, it may be throw. I figure something like the manipulator gun from HL2 would be possible. GHOUL2 allows for the physics on bodies....  [Read More]
Actually, RA2 is suprisingly moddable for just those INIs and stuff... A guy named DeeZire (http://deezire.net) makes a great mod for Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2 and Generals. But anyway, Wudan, I still want to help on GlaNeo, but last I checked you s...  [Read More]
I believe James attempted to change the source animation data in 3ds max 4, and it failed, so they didn't see a reason to release it, because not many people have the proper version of XSI. Some have said 1.5x is what you need, but I swear someone at...  [Read More]
So there is ragdoll, hah haaa!...  [Read More]
It may be normal death animations and then ragdoll later. It could also be the basic ragdoll like SoF2, where it just stops limbs from clipping through surfaces, which is really nice. The Quake III engine can handle anything. Raven isn't making a mo...  [Read More]
Ragdoll should be entirely independant of the models. I expect SoF2 level of "ragdoll" at least, if not true ragdoll. A lot of 2002 and 2003 games don't have ragdoll of any kind, and we've been without it for years. So at least SoF2 quality...  [Read More]
