Besides Battlefront and Republic Commando, I'm looking forward to Doom 3... (it'll be nice to work with an engine with better support for large levels after I've done so much struggling getting JA to do just one square mile)...  [Read More]

15 minutes of standard play DVD video takes up 0.5875 GB or 500-600 MB. If that time is just showing how much space it takes up if it were DVD video like eastcoast2895 said, then I'd say the size is about right for a demo...and a rather large demo at...  [Read More]
Well, there was a Jedi Outcast mod that changed the stormtroopers into battledroids, but I'm not sure if it'll work in Jedi Academy because of the way the NPC files work now. I'm actually using the battledroid model from the mod in my Jedi Academy le...  [Read More]

Er, well I think the player limit in Republic Commando is, like Doom 3, because of a design decision and not an engine limit...unless I'm mistaken about the limits of the Unreal engine... ;)...  [Read More]

I liked this bit: We didn't have to limit anything, but we have to be very careful to ensure that we provide a great gaming experience on both the PC and the Xbox. Nobody wants to play a console game on their PC! We are working hard to ensure the gr...  [Read More]
Originally posted by Isair Only a fifteen minute limit on the demo? I think that's way too short. I think the 15 minute thing is only referring to how much space the demo takes up on the disc...it'll take up the equivalent of 15 minutes of standar...  [Read More]
Definitely underrated. For one thing, JA has many more great moments like the Rancors, Hoth, speeder bikes, ect. then JKII. The guns were a lot more useful in JA then JKII (bit of a pity since JKII was the game that could've benefited from them the m...  [Read More]

JA, like all other Quake III powered games, doesn't use DirectX for it's graphics. It uses OpenGL. JA does have graphical improvements over JKII, taking advantage of OpenGL 1.4 features. The Dynamic Glow is one of these, as is some special mapping st...  [Read More]

Originally posted by Andy867 I personally would NOT want to see JK4 on the Doom3 Engine since last I heard, the multiplayer would only be able to support 4, count it, 4 people TOTAL, so CTF, TDM and most others could be ruled out. I'd prefer to see...  [Read More]
