Looks very cool...the only thing that looks a little odd is the fog. The edge where it starts seems too sharp near the top, so it almost looks like water....  [Read More]

That actually sounds better...the light diffusion offered by fog/clouds could add a very eerie mood (like being in Jedi purgatory:))....  [Read More]

I totally understand what you mean. However, you could also make a daytime skybox of the same thing, or have daylight with huge rocky valleys below....  [Read More]

That looks incredibly cool....but I do have a suggestion. Rather than use the existing skybox with a daytime setting, have an evening/twilight atmosphere with a self-lit skybox showing an endless lava field below. It's more of a personal preference,...  [Read More]

I have the collection of sounds he was going to use (they're just not edited), and I would go ahead and put the pack together, but there would be no point since I still would need to get his permission to release. I don't think he's vanished or anyth...  [Read More]

Since the Jerec thread hasn't been moved from the modeling forum, thought I'd just start a new one. All skins and botfiles are now complete, and all that remains is the sound pack. http://www.geocities.com/inbredyokel2000/complete.txt...  [Read More]

One thing I might recommend is extending the ground really far off in each direction, and creating an invisible wall around the inner part of the map so that people can't run to the edge of the ground and look at the skybox. That's one thing that bot...  [Read More]
I think one thing that would greatly improve the next release is pumping as much work into the new arena as humanly possible. Yes, you have lives. Yes, you might be very busy. However, I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to help you if yo...  [Read More]

Didn't have much time to do anything over my break last week, so sebulba didn't get too much attention. However, last night I had some spare time so I'm almost finished with the first skin. I'll post screenies when it's done(hopefully tonight)....  [Read More]

I take it that I should hold off on skinning the legs then. It shouldn't be a problem tho, since I'm being quite the perfectionist with this particular skin, and it will be quite some time before I'm happy with what I already have. I should have some...  [Read More]

Duncan, Just remembered something. I'm not sure what sounds are included with what you're using from Racer, but I have a little request. He needs to say "Poodoo!" when he falls to his death. If you need me to, I can get the sound myself fro...  [Read More]

A little skin update... Took a lot of time, but I've finally got the head done: http://www.geocities.com/inbredyokel2000/sebu2.txt And yes, the goggles will have semi-transparent shaders so the eyes can be seen. I'm going to do the racing uniform nex...  [Read More]

I've got a VERY early shot of the head skin: http://www.geocities.com/inbredyokel2000/seb1.txt I've come to realize that this is going to be an incredibly difficult skin to do right. I want to be as detailed as possible, so all those little spots an...  [Read More]

That is pretty ridiculous. I hate it when clans expect sites to host huge files when the stuff is basically for their clan's personal use. If your clan is really that important, use your own website!! It looks like Omni has wasted about 200 mb of jk2...  [Read More]

The arm thing can be improved to a huge degree. I've seen models with far larger torso areas and arms(like Maw), and the clipping was nowhere near that bad. I'm not a modeler, but I think it would simply involve weighting the boobs to their respectiv...  [Read More]
