For me, the way force powers are balanced will make or break the game. For example; Force Speed was soooo powerful in JO that it literally felt like cheating to me. Since JA is building appon JO, and alot of the code is left over, than I hope they...  [Read More]

If they do include autoblocking again, I really hope they do what CanadianSurfer suggested; having a succesful block use up mana. There's nothing (In my humble opinion :)) more stupid than walking into a room of 100 stormtroopers and easily deflect...  [Read More]

Well, an option to turn it off when you want to wouldn't really work... The game would have to be designed with either system, or have them both intergrated in some way. Also, since all you do is press a block button in my idea, and the blocking sys...  [Read More]

Thanks, but it's actually pretty much the way that old PS1 game... Jedi Power Battles (note; I'm not advocating buying it) did it. So the accuracy thing isn't really my idea :)....  [Read More]

This is the way I think manual blocks would work: You press the secondary fire and you bring your saber up in a block position. The long you hold the block button down the less chance you have of sucessfully blocking the attack, untill you are force...  [Read More]

What kind of saber blocking do you hope will be in JA, or (a real) JKIII? Automatic, like in Jedi Knight, Mysteries of the Sith, and Jedi Outcast where attacks are automatically parried, or deflected if you're not attacking, but you have little con...  [Read More]

What about an option for those that are going to play through BOTH ways? Atleast that's what I'm going to do. (also, remember that, when asked "what happens if you mixed force powers together?" the devs replied saying that they can't talk...  [Read More]

Stormtroopers a must! It couldn't be Dark Forces, or a REAL Star Wars game without them! And I wouldn't mind seeing Darktroopers again either! Who knows, maybe 1 or 2 phase 2s survived... and are in hibernation on some abandoned imperial outpost tha...  [Read More]

Single bladed for me. But ofcourse I'll try the other stances out too. I don't think the double saber should be "unstoppable once mastered" it should be the same as the other stances, with weaknesses and strengths. I think the double sab...  [Read More]

Ug, Tavion was the dumbest character ever. I absolutely loathed that voice of hers (shudders at the thought)... and the stupid lines she says. I really hope they don't make her the main villian of the nect game... That would be so incredibly lame.....  [Read More]

I personally hope theirs more RPG elements in JA. The more the better for me. And I also hope there's more non combative NPCs in JA than in JO, but more importantly, I hope there's more variety. But then again, it just depends on the level. I per...  [Read More]

The demo they showed at Madison was most likely just a technical demo with poor balance, lots of bugs ect. It was probably just a demo for that particular instance; showing it's current progress. Nothing like a real demo I bet. Anyways, I personally...  [Read More]

Speaking of that sweater... Am I the only one that sorely misses that DarK Forces suit? I'm glad it made a modified appearance, but it's just waaaaaaay too ugly to be in any more games ;). If I see Kyle walking aound in that ugly brown, bantha herd...  [Read More]

I think Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is fine without Kyle. But I also think that it would be a major mistake not to focus on Kye for all of the Dark Forces series (Am I the only one that thinks that Dark Forces III: Jedi Outcast sounds better then Jed...  [Read More]

Well... They were able to add lightsaber combat into it... and pretty complex lightsaber system at that. judging by that alone, it seems to me they can make pretty much anything they want out of the Q3 engine... I'm just worried about the things they...  [Read More]
I agree. So much advancement in terms of gameplay can be made right now... but most FPSs just don't take advantage of it. Co-op mode would certainly help bring even more depth and reply value to JKIII (that and more dynamic levels and boss fights, bu...  [Read More]

I guess you're right, Kurgan, about the lightsabers in the movies. I had forgotten how much they changed from movie to movie. Still, I would personally say that I liked the way sabers looked in ESB and EP1 the best. Both had a long, thin, white blade...  [Read More]

I think its pretty obvious that when someone reffers to realism and light sabers they mean sabers that look like the ones in the movies. I mean, if JK3 had 5 foot thick, 2 foot long sabers, and someone said they didn't look realistic enough than yo...  [Read More]
I agree with KingPin... The Lightsaber fighting looked too much like REAL sword fighting in my opinion (but of course a lot more unpractical and acrobatic). I especially disliked the Heavy stance. We never see sabers moving that slow in the movies a...  [Read More]
