I don't know too much, but I do know that there are 7 .sig files that are required by the Xbox to recognize the savegame as legit. KSE will create 6 of the 7 .sig files. Unfortunately I don't know how to get the 7th one (SAVE_HEADER.sig). This means...  [Read More]

Good question. Have you tried typing something directly to see if there's a difference? I would think Notepad would be fine to paste from (unlike Word), but maybe that's what's going on....  [Read More]
Still works for me... at least insofar as KotORTLK shows the changes when closed and re-opened. (Haven't tried to check in-game.) Are you trying to add strange characters?...  [Read More]
Originally posted by Achilles Yeah, I was doing that and it still wouldn't save changes. V.2.0 is the only one in existence, correct? Yes it is. Very strange. What are you attempting to edit exactly? -- I'll try to replicate your situation....  [Read More]
Hmm, works for me. Just remember to make sure you're opening and saving in the SWKOTOR2 directory, not the SWKOTOR directory (which is what the Open As... and Save As... dialogs will default to). [I should fix that. :p ] Has it been 5 months? Oh an...  [Read More]

Here's dialog fixit utility. There's really nothing much to it... when you launch it, it will ask you to browse to your dialog file. It will then rewrite Script2 fields so that they are CRESREF field types. If you open it from a command prompt (no...  [Read More]
I'm sorry about that envida and T7. DLGEditor will not automatically fix it. If you can wait a couple hours, I'll have a small fix-it utility that will....  [Read More]
v2.1.4 released Added support for Listener fields in Entry branches (Thanks Gsccc) Fixed a bug that caused generated Script2 fields to be written as CExoStrings instead of CResref, causing said scripts to fail in-game. (Thanks T7Nowhere)...  [Read More]
There are a number of reasons for the slowness including: 1) the size of the TSL dialogs are huge 2) there are many more fields to handle in TSL than in KotOR 3) the Undo feature I added consumes more memory 4) I destroy and recreate the widgets an...  [Read More]
Ah, ok. Thanks for the suggestion Gsccc! I didn't know Entry structs recognized the Listener field -- I hadn't opened a dlg in GFFEditor that had one. I appreciate the constructive feedback. This item is next on my to-do list. (Makes you wonder if a...  [Read More]
Originally posted by Jennaida Or is it simply because I'm doing it with the game running, so I can reload the quicksave when I'm done editing? This is very likely the cause. I recommend completely exiting the game before attempting to edit a save,...  [Read More]
The .sig files are generated for Xbox users, but as jedigoku says, they are ignored by the PC version. See if there is a different pattern of behavior not associated with the .sig files: Maybe your game crashes once and then works the next time. ?...  [Read More]
