A lot of people brought up a lot of advantages that JA has. I know at least that JA will be a game I can run easily on my comp. With the Q3 Engine and extras that Raven have included in this game like double sabers and light staff, the mod community...  [Read More]

Well, the fact that the combat system is basically null in consideration of interactivity of the player in KOTOR, JA is going to be much more fun. KOTOR is going to be really sweet though. I thought that it would be the "Deus Ex + Star Wars"...  [Read More]

Jedi Academy is definitely going to be a big game out there, but there is another Star Wars game that could make a rift in the community. Knights of the Old Republic is practically the same game relating to the gameplay of a jedi plus tons more. The...  [Read More]

I voted for Wedge. He is the only person who would probably fit in the background of the movies who could also reasonably be in a plot of a game like Jedi Academy. Lando wasn't bad in JK2. In my view of games forget the movie characters (at least th...  [Read More]

I don't care about the release date (well, it better reasonable . . . not like half of a century from now) as long as they take the time to make JA the best game that it can be. Push that good ole' Q3TA engine to its limits! Btw taekwondo joe learn...  [Read More]

Mysteries of the Sith had the best way of choosing force powers and had a great variety. As a jedi progressed in training, one could choose from categories of force powers. The more in touch with the force, the more categories accessible. btw Coupes...  [Read More]

I wouldn't mind seeing locations "mentioned" in the movies. Kessel and Sullust would be interesting to see among other systems. All I know is that the screenshots for this game raise some major speculation about what will be visited....  [Read More]

I would prefer to see the whole game in locations that are not in the movies. That was one of the best things about JK and MotS. I got to see whole new worlds. I wasn't expecting anything, because I had no clue what to expect. It was more interesting...  [Read More]

After about 5 days of reading all of the posts on this thread on and off, I finally get to reply on this monumental emergence! I guess JKIII (I could care less about the name "Jedi Academy) is a reality. With the screenshots, official LucasArts...  [Read More]

The architecture is far too basic. From what I saw the level was a series of huge connected boxes. In one screenshot there was a room full of turrets in a formation on the floor? IMO that is poor enemy placement. Who would put that many turrets in on...  [Read More]

Lassev, everything you have said is reasonable. I think the lifeless feel might only be from the screenshots though. Gameplay could create the difference. I realize that the hallway to the ship platform is rather small. I added 30% length and 20% wi...  [Read More]

Well, here is an update. I added a junction room which links a ship platform, a prime corridor, and an elevator shaft. The junction room. There is a nice white tray in the corner. http://link.freepichosting.com/image.cgi/24474/8.jpg Hallway to th...  [Read More]

Wedge, I will consider the fog. The only thing is that my architecture is complicated enough (i would prefer to make it more intricate); the fog might be a insignificant detail. At least I know it has been used already by someone. I didn't get a ch...  [Read More]

I can understand how someone might see it as lifeless. If you are refering to the lack of NPCs around, that is only because I haven't taken screens of them around. The place is kind of supposed to be lifeless in a spooky way. I am trying to incorpora...  [Read More]

I am a fairly good mapper (I guess). You can see my work in the JediKnightII.net mapping showcase forums. The problem is that I don't have Dark Forces so any map that I do is going to require someone to give me the map outline. Is it required that I...  [Read More]
