I've done a few things, but it appears that I've fixed the locking up problem for me. Hopefully if you're still having problems one of these things might help: 1. Decreased resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600 (all other settings are on, using high t...  [Read More]

Disabling opengl extensions did not work for me. Neither did turning off advanced features like shaders, texture filters, going to 16 bit, etc. I'm starting to wonder how this could have been missed in testing if so many are having this problem and...  [Read More]

Has anyone else experienced freezing with JK2 freezing in XP? I have a 1.1 Athlon, 256MB Ram, Geforce 3 Ti 200. I tried changing drivers - going back to a signed Windows driver. I tried running in compability mode... Has anyone experienced this and...  [Read More]

Funny thing, I flashed my bios recently to fix an unrelated problem, and then JO started freezing again with the sound loop! Well, I was lucky this time. I changed my AGP from 4x to 2x and it fixed it right away. Not sure if that has been suggested,...  [Read More]

I feel for ya! I was having freezes about every 5 minutes (but I don't think it was until after Yavin, like someone else mentioned) - and now I'm freeze free. I don't think it's a heat problem. At least, it wasn't for me. I was having freezing probl...  [Read More]

White Lancer - you forgot to add that my freezing problem is now fixed :) Has anyone else tried using Creative provided drivers for XP for their Soundblaster Live/128/Audigy etc? Like I said, it was one of the last things I tried before it started...  [Read More]

I'm also having this problem... On another thread, someone suggested turning of the GL extensions. Correct me if I'm wrong, but XP has DX8.1 built-in, so we can't really reinstall it everytime we switch our gfx drivers. I've got a Gf3 Ti 200. Tr...  [Read More]

I just found a good tutorial on regions. ANYONE thinking about mapping for JO should read this, especially if you're decent at Jed and can't get by without layers. The drawback to regions is that you can't save them like in Jed. But - they seem to b...  [Read More]

Thanks, but some of those links are dead, and others... well, not all of them are Massassi quality, that's for sure. I've been reading these and others for the past month, but I haven't been able to find much information on regions. I figured Jed us...  [Read More]

Could some experienced Radiant mappers give some tips for those of us more used to Jed? I read on Massassi regions similiar to layers in Jed. True? If so, could someone shed some light on them? Can faces from multiple faces be selected for texturin...  [Read More]

Of course not. You'd have to be insane. The interest in the plug-in is for recreating decent JK maps. No half-serious editor is going to keep using JED for JO. Unless there's a Jed2 ;)...  [Read More]

I'll be making some CTF levels now that we finally have dedicated servers and can support a decent number of players. I'll make a few from scratch, and either port or remake one or 2 of mine from JK....  [Read More]
