I continue to have this problem. After the 4th rebel campagin mission, my save game was 97 Mb, and literally took 15 minutes to save, and I've got a decent PC. I literally just walked away and watched TV until I heard the little *beep* signaling that...  [Read More]

I've had this same problem, and before someone asks me a silly question about actually having enough disk space, yes, I have over 100 Gb of free disk space ;) During the course of one planetary invasion, my save game size skyrocketed from 9 Mb to ove...  [Read More]

Agreed - there must be a memory leak. My singleplayer campaign save-games are around 100 Mb in size. That's just ridiculous. The memory leak theory would also explain the bug where multiple turrets occupy the same build pad....  [Read More]

Here's an update, in my new campaign, during the course of one planetary invasion, my save game size shot up from 9 Mb to 97 Mb, and takes 10 minutes to save. This is just absolutely ridiculous......  [Read More]

I've started my campaing over again - the next time it happens I'll try to do a screenshot, but the paraphrase of the message is that you're out of disk space, which I'm most assuredly am not since I have over 100 Gb of free space....  [Read More]

And what did they say when you mentioned this? Because I'm having this problem in single play - I can't even get past about 4 freaking planets before my save get gets to about 67 Mb in size, and then just completely times out. It's ridiculous. I'm no...  [Read More]

Actually, my buddy Wilhuf and I (he runs the Ascending Force server) played last night - him as Boba Fett, and me as Count Dooku. We were both using Ventrilo and would double team people. We'd stick together and discuss who we were going to take out....  [Read More]

I find neither Leia nor Han to be very useful heroes in combat. Haven't tried Jango or Chewie, but Boba is pretty sweet. And all the Jedis seem to be very useful over your standard soldier, so no complaints there. To to clarify, I'm not commenting...  [Read More]

Related to why they took out being prone is why they gook out the orbital bombardment. I used to find an out-of-the-way power droid, lay prone (feigning death), and then orbital bombard the heck out of the approaching enemies. Once we took the next C...  [Read More]

Really?! I've tried using the communication keys but nothing happens. Do you have to be looking at the NPCs to get them to do anything? Hmmm - I'll have to mess with this some more, but I've been really frustrated wtih this aspect of the game because...  [Read More]

I have to say, that when they still had orbital strikes in the game, I'd often go find me an out-of-the-way gonk droid and just hunker down, prone, so as to draw as little attention to myself as possible, and just oribital bomard the heck out of ever...  [Read More]

You can still snipe, even if you're not prone. I agree that I wish being prone were still in the game, but that seems like an odd reason to not get the game. The rest of the game seems to be pretty fun to me....  [Read More]

Well, I'm still setting up my final configuration. SWBF2 has more functions to control than SWBF1, so I'm having a bit of a delima. I definitely use my joystick setup for starfighters, but have yet to decide whether I'll be able to go that way with t...  [Read More]

I know most people don't care about joystick support these days, but I am one of the last of a dying breed, from a more civilized age of PC gaming  And I just have to say that Star Wars Battlefront II has really good joystick support - much bet...  [Read More]

I used the cockpit view all the time for everything. I got really good at judging where the ground was and wasn't. Believe it or not, Kurgan, but when Wilhuf and I play the Hoth map together, I'm always pilot and he's always my gunner, and piloting t...  [Read More]

I agree with Kurgan - when there are gaps that cannot be filled by existing EU material, then new material should be created for game balancing issues. However, I do agree with Majin Revan that certain details were bungled, such as Imperial capital...  [Read More]

...Didn't the creation of the prequels discredit a lot of EU stories?...Probably. The thing that stands out in my mind is a novel that was written about Luke's mother being something like a "force witch" or something like that. I can't reca...  [Read More]

Since we're discussing things we don't like about the game, here are a set of things about the user interface that just drove me crazy in Star Wars Battlefront 1 - I hope these things get fixed in SWBF2: 1. When a map has finished, there is NO WAY t...  [Read More]

That's a cool pic - makes me wish we could pilot fighters in first-person, and land them in the docking bays on that station, and then exit our fighters, and run around exploring the place, and if needed, engage in first-person ground combat. That wo...  [Read More]
