I'm sure it will be as formidable as a star destroyer in the game though....  [Read More]

I only asked because on the Chat Transcript topic one of the questions was "Where are Dark Troopers recruited?", and the answer said "The Arc Hammer, a star destroyer." The answer makes it sound like it's a regular Star Destroye...  [Read More]

All this talk about Darktroopers is making me wonder if the Rebels will get a new (non-hero) ground unit too. Maybe some Tauntaun-mounted troopers? That's a possibility. Most of the new rebel additions have not been revealed yet. The only ones that...  [Read More]

If things were scaled correctly, it wouldnt be fun. I was not complaining about the size of the dark troopers, I was just curious if they were really that big. Editing your posts instead of double posting ftw! :) -LIAYD...  [Read More]

So Dark Troopers are really 12-14 ft. tall? I never played the Dark Forces games with the Ark Hammer and Dark Troopers so I don't really know much about them....  [Read More]

I'm not complaining about the game,( frankly, I think it looks awesome) but the dark troopers look giant! They are the size of at-st's, are they really that big? Or is this just a scale issue?...  [Read More]

Yeah, I love that strategy! :) I pioneered this really cool strategy in galactic conquest you should try it out... Sometimes I will purposly leave a level 1 space station undefended and let the enemy take the bait. I will have a hypervelocity gun r...  [Read More]

By "best victory" do you mean most epic battle? Well, one time (playing as the Imps) I was attacked while on Atzerri by an enormous Rebel fleet, unfortunatly my fleet which normally would be guarding the planet was occupied on Endor and I...  [Read More]

If the MPTL is weakened then the rebels will have NO chance of winning late in the game. Not that I care, I usually play as the Empire....  [Read More]

I think it's a tie between the MPTL and AT-AT. MPTL's are powerful with those torpedoes and there's no way to defeat them if they are defended by turrets and a repair station unless you use a bombing run. AT-AT's are very good because of the endle...  [Read More]

Capt. Piett may be formidable because of his Proton Beam and his seemingly endless fleet of Tie fighters but a few Y-wings is all it takes to defeat him. Send in Y-wings to concentrate their firepower on the shield generator then move in the heavy cr...  [Read More]

The Accuser will always win because of the Tie Bombers but if the two ships battled each other with no intervention of fighters or support ships then it would depend on which player is controling each ship....  [Read More]

Actually any game can be called "easy". There are always ways to cheat in a game or play only to win instead of having fun in the game. Personally, I believe that anyone who says Empire at War has no "strategy" in it has never eve...  [Read More]

Recently I have played a number of galactic conquest maps both as rebellion and empire on medium difficulty. GC is so easy it is almost a joke, lacking any discernable challenge. My strategy is always to lump all my ships an units together -- heroes...  [Read More]

I think the sensor ping is the only reason anyone uses them. There is no reason to make them tougher because in the expansion the Tie scouts will most likely be replaced altogether by the mighty Tie Defender and stealthy Tie Phantom....  [Read More]

Tie scouts are very useful for finding enemy marauder cruisers that are hiding around the map or asteroid fields. Also Tie scouts are better dog fighters than Tie fighters because of their shield generators....  [Read More]

If playing as Imps: Take out shields, then engines, then weapon emplacements. If playing as the Rebels: Destroy shields, Hangar Bay, engines, weapon emplacements. I always go for the engines after shields so the enemy can't attempt a retreat into h...  [Read More]
