E3 is coming up in the summer. I'd expect that this game will be given it's first full featue then. The concept of vehicles sounds good as well as the customisation. I'd also like to point out how glad I am that it's Quake 3 engine. That way the lar...  [Read More]

Beta testing has been going on for well over a month. And that's the 2nd beta. All the faults have been identified and are being worked on by Azymn. Just hang in there. It's good and worth waiting for....  [Read More]

In the screens the flamethrower is accessed using the 'next force power' & 'use force power' hotkeys. It's not actually a weapon. In beta one it wasn't bound to any keys....  [Read More]

I hope Forcemod 2.0 isn't going to be open source because from what I've played in beta 2.0 it's amazing. It would be a shame to see the whole of the code go into another mod with the addition of a few cvars and be given another name taking most of t...  [Read More]

Not quite had the time to read the thread in full from top to bottom but I gather that you are trying to modify the system to make it more film like and involved more skill than the current system? If that is the case then a suggestion is that you r...  [Read More]

Create a brush and use func_door. You can then define the way the door opens. Upwards or at an angle etc. Best tip is to go and read a few tutorials. Then using the tutorials create a small map that consists of a few rooms that takes into account a...  [Read More]

I suggest if you are going to do a large CTF map then it use no aircraft. From experience in reguarly playing CTF maps they are best without too many large open areas. The flag should have 2-3 access roots to it but never be out in the open. This mea...  [Read More]

I suggest that once you exhaust the sabers used by characters from the EU that you look towards custom hilts. There are plenty of nicely designed custom hilts, whether they be very plain in design or highly detailed and irregular. Also it could be a...  [Read More]
