Well if you have both games the answer is naturally "because you can." Otherwise there's plenty of reasons: 1) More character animations. 2) New weapons. 3) New Force Powers. 4) Graphic improvements (like the stealth effect on the Shad...  [Read More]

20 FPS is bad, but 50 FPS isn't, actually. A constant 30 fps is playable, though most people prefer a steady 60 fps, and this is considered "good" for any game (anymore than that is gravy). Get the latest stable drivers for your video card...  [Read More]

If Lucas had planned "all along" to make nine movies, then perhaps he could have done that and left it open for Leia to be the "last hope." Of course she'd have even less training than Luke, perhaps only through the ghosts of Yo...  [Read More]
Doubtful unless they re-run the election. My current polling place I think does it with the typical, go behind screen, press button next to candidate/party (or do write in) and then pull lever when done (opens current for next person). At my old po...  [Read More]

We know that "manuvering" torpedoes exist in Star Wars (see Jango's "missile" that he fires at Obi-Wan's ship in AOTC). Even Luke's torpedoes fired into the exhaust port pull a sharp turn to go into the hole. If the turbolasers c...  [Read More]

I was just thinking how there's really 3 "Original" versions of Star Wars, and 2 "Original" versions of the other two films. You have the 1977 Star Wars, then the 1981 "Episode IV: A New Hope" with the modified opening...  [Read More]

LFL = Lucas Film Limited. That's George Lucas's main media company. Lucas Forums is part of LFN (LucasFanNetworks) that has nothing whatsoever to do with Lucas or his companies (it's just a fan network based on fandom of his stuff!). As to the tr...  [Read More]

The RPG's are GAMES, and so on the bottom-most rung of acceptable continuity (but official nonetheless). But I mean I'd take WEG's stats on Force users with as much salt as I would Jedi Academy's stats on Force users. The games are often full of err...  [Read More]

I'm not a coder, but other than the save system and the showier animation (basically tied to the force powers and saber fighting animations), the MP engine seems far superior to the SP. The gameplay is tighter and better controlled (get into an AT-ST...  [Read More]

If you used the MP engine, you could use some of the modified Siege code to give the player limited lives, and make it so you can start on any map. That would closely aproximate the original game (although it would be as if all levels were unlocked)....  [Read More]

I haven't read the old Han Solo books, but was Chewie an Imperial slave or just a slave of some pirates or something? I always assumed that the Wookies were enslaved by the Empire, but that doesn't mean that other people didn't treat them as slaves,...  [Read More]

Hmmm, the Empire didn't give Alderaan a chance to surrender, or to turn over any "Rebel Sympathizers." In fact, even after the supposed "deal" Tarkin made with Leia, they still blew the planet up! The Empire is controlled by a b...  [Read More]
