Coal had forgotten how British gin tasted of piss. In reality it wasn't actually gin, of course - the real stuff was far too expensive - but rather a home brewed, high-alcohol spirit compounded with apple mash in an attempt to make it as palatable as...  [Read More]

Granted I haven't read the entirety of this thread yet, but I'm deeply grateful to see that there are actually still reasonable, rational Republicans and/or conservatives out there. You don't see many such individuals actively participating in North-...  [Read More]

I'm new to modding, but as far as I'm aware it would be a simple matter of extracting an existing armband .uti from the game, editing it accordingly with KotOR Tool, and re-naming it so as not to overwrite the item you extracted from. EDIT: Actually...  [Read More]

The .mdx is needed, but you won't have to hex edit it, the only thing you need to hex edit is the .mdl. Do you have two different Bao Durr models? To use his original texture, you will need an entirely different model and texture names, i.e. lets say...  [Read More]

I've used the hex editor on p_baodurbb.mdl, replaced 4 occurrences of "P_Bao_DurA" with "P_Bao_DurB" (the same number of character, as per your directions - though only four occurrences seemed low, to me), and renamed the texture...  [Read More]

I've just tried again after double checking file names and such, and it's still not working... I still get the default clothing appearance. If it helps, this is what the .utc, .uti, and file names look like: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c142/_T...  [Read More]

Yes, I've added another line to the end of appearance.2da, and within that line edited the two columns I mentioned above. I didn't, though, edit his .utc file beyond adding the new item to his inventory - I can't seem to locate anywhere in the file t...  [Read More]

Despite following the tutorials by both Stoffe and J7, I'm still having difficulties creating a unique texture for a custom clothing item I'm creating for TSL. Very basically, the item is a unique form of clothing for Bao-Dur in the same vein as Att...  [Read More]

Both the hardcore and in-game difficulty modifier mods make enemies more powerful, but neither add more, to my knowledge. I think, though, that such a mod does exist. I can do q better search for one once I get back on my computer (I'm using my phone...  [Read More]

There is a so-called "hardcore mod" (link here (http://software.techrepublic.com.com/abstract.aspx?docid=697579)), that boosts the stats of enemies and such. If that's still not enough, there's also an in-game difficulty modifier that even...  [Read More]

The most I've ever done with moderating is a lightsaber mod. And while I was incredibly proud of my work, let's face facts: there are hundreds of lightsaber mods out there; it's no surprise it never flourished. I have a new idea now, though, that's...  [Read More]

You basically echoed all the things that frustrate me about custom planets too. Perhaps more than anything else I hate the absence of storyline more than the issues with improper grammar, although that in itself can prove to be a nuisance. Don't get...  [Read More]

I rarely go for planet mods, simply because I find most of them shallow and tossed-together, with very little real substance to them. Many of the dialogue subtitles have terrible grammar and spelling mistakes, and almost none have voice-overs; and th...  [Read More]
