Ah, now you put your foot in it. You know full well that I posted to several PMs to both Darth333 and tk102 on this very matter. In short, you're just plain wrong. I DID use the PM system. That especially Darth333 preferred to just ignore me is a bi...  [Read More]

I merely quoted Niner. Thus I did nothing to change it. No you didn't changed the quote but the intent was completely different. I don't think your post was inflammatory for its content (everyone here is a nerd to some extent and several threads are...  [Read More]

I wouldn't overclock the laptop ( unless you intend to cook eggs on it) ...that's not a good idea as their ventilation is generally poor and tend to overheat :o (and there's power consumption issues as well - also you'd need some special utilities)...  [Read More]

Well it all depends on what you want. The e6750 is less than $200 and the radeon 3850 too. Of course that's a midrange card but depending on which games you intend to play it may also be sufficient for your needs (for certain games, it is not far beh...  [Read More]

Careful about that cheap PSU RN. The wattage isn't all. Some brands are more reliable than others and it is very important to also check the amperage (or how much power it can deliver) on the 12v rail....  [Read More]

Btw, if you don't get the q6600, the e6750 is much cheaper than the e6600 (the first gen core 2 duo cpus were more expensive): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115029 As for the video card, the radeon 3850 is currently the on...  [Read More]

It seems that the game can even bring two 8800gtx in sli down to their knees and that no system can perform decently at ultra high settings: http://www.lesnumeriques.com/article-394.html (you can still check the benchmarks even if you don't understan...  [Read More]

My question to all christians who view this thread, why do we play video games that are like that, if we know it to be sin? What tk said...and even without that comparison, that is your interpretation of Christianity, not that of all Christians (cert...  [Read More]

What I read from this is that you do not believe that second-hand smoke poses a health threat to children, at least not enough to warrant traffic fines. Maybe more education isn't such a bad idea. ;) http://www.lungusa.org/site/pp.asp?c=dvLUK9O0E&am...  [Read More]

Do you disagree with seat belt laws too, D3? Just curious. :) The dietary argument was also used by groups against those laws. Seat belts are directly related to the car driving activity. They are known to be the most effective type of device to redu...  [Read More]

I never liked the smell of cigarette, especially in a car, but I think I dislike that kind of invasive law even more. I think emphasis should be put on education rather than coercitive and punitive methods for that kind of thing. Where will it stop?...  [Read More]

1. We don't have the enzymes to eat it RAW, like other animals. Other animals can kill the bacteria that infest a corpse. Humans cannot... therefore, we have to cook it to kill the bacteria. Go tell that to an Inuk! When buying a few veggies at a coo...  [Read More]

The Witcher and Oblivion are two very different games and have very little in common. Everything is managed differently: the maps (in the Witcher, you don't have that huge piece of land where you can run around endlessly admiring the landscape), the...  [Read More]

The same happens if you bring Alvin to Triss and you don't need to break into houses to get candy: you can buy some at the taverns (sugardolls count as candy too). However it doesn't matter much if you don't have candy as each time you enter the hous...  [Read More]
