Also if you are using the GFF editor be sure to select another field after changing the portrait in the UTC otherwise the change is not saved....  [Read More]

So, you said when the NPC dies, the robe is not on the corpse? Are you sure you are giving the NPC the robe? Check to see if there's a nameless grenade on the corpse. If the mistyped the template resref for your robe, the game can't find the templat...  [Read More]

I think this is a bug in KSE, it is caused (I think) by the image of the item (probably a custom item issue). However the items should work fine, if you just ignore the errors. Of course, it never hurts to make a backup of your save....  [Read More]

I'm getting a new bug when I try to launch 3.0.11. When I start the program, it just exits immediately, kse.log contains the following: 02-21-2005 11:36:04 KSE startup v3.0.11 02-21-2005 11:36:04 KSE found KotOR1 saves directory in G:\Games\SWKotoR...  [Read More]
I did notice that changes made to characters on the Ebon Hawk don't always stick. Maybe that could help explain some of the bugs....  [Read More]
@tk102: Well I'm no expert on Perl, and I haven't looked at your source code in detail, but could the Upgrade bug be due to the fact that KSE doen't check/add for the UpgradeLevel [BYTE] field in the .uti files? - TMPhoenix...  [Read More]
Well thanks for the replies. I found out what was wrong: I had a text version of the spells.2da in my override (i.e. a v2.0 instead of a compressed v2.b). That was causing the error. I suppose I have to start using Kotor Tool to edit my 2DA's, inste...  [Read More]
Anyone else having difficulties with changing forcepowers (or in fact opening the classes branch of any force using character)? I first noticed it in version 2.0.7, but I checked with older versions and they all have the same issue, they just don't...  [Read More]

(version 1.0.1713.15070) If I right-click in the treeview beyond the end of the tree, I get an unhandled exception, with the message: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." It isn't really a big bug, but still......  [Read More]

Well, first of all, when using NWNexplorer open the chitin.key file instead of a bif file directly. This way files will have the correct names, which makes browsing easier. Second of all: since this item uses the "disguise" item property,...  [Read More]

For the first part: You might be able to use the gff editor to edit the Sith armor to look like the red version. You should then save this under a different name (like my_sitharmor) and put it in the override directory. Altough I'm not sure if it's...  [Read More]

The best way I've found sofar to edit items is using the gffeditor (there's one available from the Bioware NWN site I believe). Then at least you can edit it in a semi-readable way. And you should use the 2DA decompiler to decompile all those 2DA, s...  [Read More]

Well I've been looking into editing the savegames using the tools for Neverwinter Nights, and it seems quite promising. :) I'm able to open the savegame files with the example erfeditor found in the developers section of the NWN website, and it seem...  [Read More]
