"So what did you guys do with my fingers and the other half of my hand?" Dwain wondered.
"How could this happen to me?" he thought. He was usually a good swordsman, not to mention he was trained to be a Jedi Weapon Master. Although, he did remember trying to be too careful about fataly injuring his sparring buddies.
"I dont know, I wasnt in the room" She gave him a concerned look and suddenly fell to the floor from the ship increasing speed.
"Shut up Dante. If we had a "more reputable pilot", that one would have probably crashed this ship into oblivion ages ago. Just be happy we're all alive," Zayne smugged at Dante.
Dwain's diziness started to fade away. His heart made a hugh leap as Zayne sped up the ship. He looked at Natalie, a question on his miind.
"Natalie, I've been meaning to ask you... back at Telos, you gave me a vision. The one where you saw the cruelty of the Sith. And that dark figure glaring at you... who was he?"
She sighs. Then speaks "Im not sure, but it could just be the dreams of a troubled mind, I wouldnt worry about it. " She finished, *trying* to make herself seem busy.
Dante replied, "Yeah, I appreciate you very much, if you can be more...subtle!"
Finally he grabbed a chair and buckled himself in. "Never underestimate the seat belt."
"Stupid hunk of junk!" yelled William. As he tried vainly to increse his ships speed, while also making sure the cloaking device didn't shut down.
Eventually, the ship gave a low hum, and the device and the engine shut down due to his constant banging. With a sigh, he muttered, "They better not come shooting at me. And if I'm lucky, I won't show up on their radar."
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to preach or anything." Dwain apoligised to Natalie. "You didn't have to answer that question."
********
The Strider glided through space towards the Space Station, a facility which was in orbit of a planet below. The ship flew through the structures that grew from the Station, and made its way to the Hanger. The Strider hovered inside, and made a landing on one of the docking pads.
"I hope it wasn't I who cut your hand off Dwain," said Adia. "If I did it was not my intention."
"Naw, don't worry Adia. If it was you, I would've avenged the death of my pinky finger by now. I'll get back at Dante!" Dwain chuckled. When he meant he'll get back at Dante, he didn't mean as in physical punishment. There was no way he could mutilate his friends.
Dwain stood up out of the infirmary bed, and went to retrieve his Mesh Jacket from the bench piled with medical supplies. His feet were wobbly, and he could barely stand up right.
"Well, we're here," Zayne said, getting up, "I'm going to help Dwain walk."
Zayne made his way out of the cockpit and onto the medbay, grabbing Dwain's arm and putting it over his shoulder.
"Come one. Let's get you healed."
"Its okay, Zayne. I think I can walk." Dwain, uding his only available hand, let go of Zayne. He slightly walked unsteadily, but he managed. He put his wounded half-hand under his other shoulder, and walked out of the ship.
They entered the Hangar, atop of a Docking Platform. There they met a small group of Medics to escort Dwain into the hospital. "Oh, god! What happened?" one of the Medics gawked at the state of Dwain's hand.
Dante walked up and explained: "We were doing a sparring match, free for all, and due to a technical reason, Dwain's hand got injured somehow. So I used my mini-bacta tank to heal his hand for a while, and judging from the injury I recommend robotic replacements."
"And don't even think about swearing revenge on me...I don't know how my katana injured you. And I swear I'll never do that to you." Dante whispered to Dwain, and his katana was hanging at his hip.
"Alright, lets get you to the Emergency Theatre this instant!" one of the Medics wheeled in a hover capsule, which they lay Dwain in...
After a few hours in the Emergency Theatre, where they operated on Dwain by amputating his entire hand and relplaced it with a cybernetic one, he exited the room where his companions waited for him. He was admiring his new hand, which was of coarse a skeletal-like metalic hand covered with a black gauntlet.
"Well? What do you think?" he spoke to the crew, showing them his cybernetic enhancement. Suddenly, he felt a great disturbance in the force. He sensed an oncomming danger on the station itself.
"It looks----" Natalie suddenly looked around, then at Dwain, her hand feeled the end of her pistol.
"I think--"
"Heh, no biggie. I already got gloves myself and no artificial hand, haha! Me one you zero," Zayne laughed, then noticing the carefulness on their faces, "Ok, what's happening?"
Natalie relaxed a bit, maybe she just suddenly got a chill or something?
"Heh, nothing, but yea that hand will serve you well Im guessing.." She said, still slightly distracted.
"Its not nothing..." Dwain murmured. He felt a brutal and quick deaths on the station, but he didn't sense the echoes of the attackers. Then again, this place is hospital, and deaths were likely to occur. But these weren't deaths caused by either sickness or injury, but through the force Dwain could feel the suddeness and cries of pain. He had no idea what could possibly cause these quick deaths, unless...
"Assassins!" Dwain spoke. "Who has my Weapons?"
"Their on the ship... I think" Natalie said before once again grabbing and readying her pistol.
"Assassins? how did you know that.." She once again spoke, taking another look around.
"Oh hell," William muttered. "Of all times, assasins just had to show up." Retreiving his lightsabers, which lied on the table, he hooked them onto his belt and made a quick check to see if all of his preparations for battle was complete.
"I guess it's time I let my presence be known." And with that, he exited the guest room.
"Rather keen senses..." Dwain answered Natalies question. "Even for a gray Jedi!" he announced proudly towards Adia.
He retrieved both his Sabers and Blaster to the person whom held them. "Lets go hunting! I say we split into groups and annihilate any assassins." Dwain rounded his troops together.
"Dante, Natalie and Adia! You go in that direction! Zayne, Cor and... where in the hell is Darranak?"
OH GOD!!! Dwain thought to himself. He thinks we left him behind on Telos. Yet somehow, he sensed his presence right here on the Station.
"Urr... never mind! Zayne, Cor and I will go in the other direction!"
((Hey Relenzo2. This could be a chance to get back into the game X). And LordRevan123, this is also an opportunity for you to join the crew.))
((Well, I wanted to hop in sometime after you took off in the ship, and were flyin low over someplace, like when you land on a planet, then you see me waving down below. If you do end up taking off, and the way this RP has gone, you will- just put a little figure down there in the distanc with a bunch a ninjas (of whatever) wouldya?))
"keen senses? I call it instinct" She replied as she raised her blaster and headed off following the other 2.
She gave Adia a wary look 'Had to be teamed up with a Jedi... had bad experiences with them before..' She idly thought while running.
"I sense the crew is near here," thought William. "But I am unsure as to which one it is." He continued running at a quickened pace, wondering who he would soon meet.
"Allright. We'll communicate via comlink. If you see anything suspicious, please notify us!" Dwain handed Dante a Comlink Communicator.
"Alright, lets go!" he took his team in the opposite direction from where Dante's team ran. So far, all they spotted were droids, doctors, patients... everything seemed normal. But Dwain was certain there were assassins onboard. Call it a hunch, but Dwain suspected that these were Assassins of the True Sith Empire. They could be here on the station looking for the crew to prevent them from finding Revan... or the themselves...
Natalie ran around the corner of the ward while the other 2 struggled to keep up with her, something, or someone was calling her, and it felt very familiar.... suddenly she ran crashed into someone and fell onto the floor looking up.
(BTW it was you william :P)
William quickly scrambled up, as well as recovering from his collision with someone else. Keeping an eye on the girl looking up at him, and the other two, he cocked his head to the side with a questioning glance. Not one good with words, he waited for the other group to begin.
"Roger that!" Dante pulled out his twin blasters, with a roll, and spotted the man that Natalie crashed into. He's a Jedi! I can feel it. But...Something is wrong.
Then he shouted into Comelink: "Dwain, this is Dante reporting, we crashed into a man, and he was a...Jedi. Should we apprehend him and continue our search?" Then he waited patiently from Dwain.
"Dont know..." Dwain responded in the Comlink. "Ask a few questions. Is he a Sith or not?"
Dwain's team stoped down the middle of the downward sloped corridor, filled with many doors which led to offices and Operating Theatres. Suddenly, the team heard a loud alarm in the background.
"WARNING! ALL PERSONAL IS IN CRITICAL DANGER! HOSTILE FORCES ABOARD THE HOSPITAL STATION!"
Every nurse, patient and doctor Dwain could see were in a terrified state. They screamed and ran everywhere.
"For assassins, they don't seem to be very "stealthy"" Dwain muttered under his breath.
"Oh great." She said, picking herself up and getting against the wall of the ward peering out round the corridor.
"I dont know what it is.... but something inside is telling me there are near." She spoke mainly to herself but still hearable to her other companions.
Now, turning his full attention to the girl's companions, and seeing one of them with two blasters out, he prepared himself for an escape. But before doing so, he allowed both of his wrist blades to become visible, and then simply waited.
"That means they're murderers, not assassins, genius. Anyways, get ready," Zayne said, taking out his blaster pistol.
Natalie waited against the wall for what seemed a lifetime, things had suddenly gotten quiet, like the slow breath before the plunge.....
"Dante, what is your statu--" Dwain was interupted when he felt the quick rush of a blade slice beside him, which had luckily missed him.
He ignited his Lightsabers to counter attack the striking Assassin. But this wasn't any Sith Dwain had ever seen before. The Assassin was wearing black overalls. His armored body suit protected his entire torso. He or she was wearing somesort of mask which came with a visor and a plating to cover the mouth region. A bald scalp was the only area that seemed exposed and un-protected.
Natalie suddenly heard disturbance on the comm. "Dwain????" She got no response.
"Alright, they have some trouble over there, Im going to go check it out, its too quiet here." She said to the other 2 before rushing off.
In an instant, as if they came out of no where, three more Assassins were attacking Dwain's team. They were quite a challenge to defeat, as it was clearly obvious that they were highly skilled in Martial Arts.
Dwain used the stances his Lightsaber Forms to combat against the Assassins, which served him quite well to keep him alive. He performed a side-flip attack against one of his quick opponents, which managed to slay his enemy. Despite the fact he killed one of them, they were quite a challenge to beat.
"Dwain, report in! What's your situation?" Dante shouted into the intercom. "Natalie, stay with us! I don't want to lose a member! If you go, we go! We have to stick together!"
"Aida, can you sence their existence? Guide us, then." Dante said at last.
Finally speaking his mind, William decided to offer his 'helpful advice.' "Yes... do run by all means. They will kill her, and then wait for you to arrive and then kill you."
"Thank you for your kind advice, and I'll give you an advice, too," Dante said sacrastically, "How about this: if she loses 1 limb, you loses 4 limbs. If she loses her head, you'll share same fate as her. And don't even think about your spiffy extraordinary power would work on me. Now, what do you propose to do, Master Jedi?"
Natalie squeezed around the corner... then raised her blaster pisto at the 2 figures attacking the other team. She took a deep breath and lined up the shot..... she slowly squeezed the trigger and the round was discharged... Suddenly the assassin spun around and charged at her.
She quickly drew her Vibroblade and tried to defend herself.. the assassin flew into a flurry of attacks, attacking left right and center. He didnt give her a chance to breath and she started to struggle.
'Dwain..... help me...' She thought.... or did she say it? She didnt have time to think when the blade hit her leg.. it went numb for a second then flared into pain.
She gained her footing and carried on blocking desperatly...
(Hows THAT for a slice of fried ham :P)
"It would be smarter perhaps, to approach stealthily and calmly, instead of pounding your feet on the ground and screaming her name," William retorted. "And besides, how do you know assasins aren't around us? Cause they will be in a few seconds."
"If your going to go save her, I would follow the stealthy approach. I shall remain here and... thwart the assasins."
"Okay, Master Jedi. Do what you want, just don't get into my fireline, okay? For your sake." Dante shouted and ran off, "Aida, follow me!"
----
After a few minutes, Dante armed his shotgun and dashed in front of an assassin, and blasted his head into oblivion.
"Are you okay, Dwain? Natalie!" Dante used his katana and skewed another assassin attacking Natalie into half. Then he charged to the other assassin.
"Could be better!" Dwain responded, while fending off an attacking assassin. He Force pushed the Hitman, and Dwain impaled both of his Lightsabers right through the chest.
((Okay, I've decided to get back in here, just have an assasin drop dead that's coming towards you, whoever cares enough to post it.))
Natalie dived from the attack, then blocked another 2 hits 'One of those blows is going to be a critical hit...' She thought as she desperatly blocked.
Suddenly her blade was knocked from her hand and the Assassin slashed across her chest, she fell to her knees slowly and looked up at the faceless assassin preparing the final..... deadly... blow....
(ahem ahem save me rofl)
Dante switched to his twin blasters, and aimed at the Assassin's head. When he was going to fire, he felt his head was punched by someone. He was nearly stunned, but despite the difficulties to aim, he used his instinct, and two blaster shots penetrated the Assassin's head, and hence stopping the attack to Natalie.
There were no more Assassins left in the sector. The area was clean of any hostile activities, but Dwain was certain that they would encounter tem again. This wasn't over.
"Lets head for the Security Room!"
Natalie quickly picked up her weapon before shooting dante a look 'Thankyou...' She said feeling relieved.
She stood up fully and chased after Dwain and the others. She would 'Thank' Dante later.
(Sorry for the absence guys!)
"Dante I would like to apologize for my apparent absence during the previous battle," said Adia. "I had never felt the dark side so strongly before now. I felt as though I was paralyzed. It was terrifying."
Adia frowned and continued on slowly with the rest of the group.
William looked at the three dead assasins lying at his feet with blood still seeping out. It had been oddly easy, as he threw a simple flash grenade, which temporarily blinded them. Then, he grabbed one of the assasins, and used him as a human shield while the another one accidently killed him.
William had then allowed the body dropped to the floor, and slit the man's throat with his wrist blades, before breaking the other one's neck in one simple fluid motion.
Taking his leave from the scene, he began a brisk walk, to catch up with the group, he had shortly met before.
