When I clicked on the link using the latest version of Opera as my browser a window popped up telling me I'm not allowed to view the site unless I use IE. Personally, I hate that. Lots of other people do as well. While I keep IE around to view sites...  [Read More]

I think those nice fellows over at the Open Jedi Project are working on some sort of 'death tracker'. I really like the idea, seeing as how many times you've died shows as much, if not more, about your skill than how many people you've killed. Seth_...  [Read More]

I know this is purely wishlist material, so I'm not going to let a little thing like 'realism' hold me back. Like other people have mentioned, I'd like better graphics. The graphics in JA are better than JO's, but still not nearly as beautiful as a...  [Read More]

Everyone knows that in the Extended Universe Boba Fett escaped from the Saarlac with Tag and Bink, and made them his alibi for the whole Hutt fiasco. Fett, "What are you going to say when someone asks you about all of this?" Bink, "T...  [Read More]
I'm somewhat peculiar in how I like to play JA and JO. I don't like to attack first. I rarely attack someone if their saber is down (the exception being punks that like to attack, then put their saber down the moment things turn against them, and...  [Read More]

Huh. I actually tried that just last night and it didn't work. On a side note, I don't know what I did, but it stopped using the saboteur's sound files when I removed the .cfg file....  [Read More]

Ok, got everything working fine so I attempted a skin. Started with the Imperial Saboteur and went for a 1930's steampunk style hero type guy. It's mainly an edit of the already existing skin, but I wanted to start simple. The skin worked perfect, f...  [Read More]

Again, thanks! I'll try all that as soon as I have a spare moment. If I did go with JPEGs, would I have to edit the .SKIN file so it looked for them instead of TGA files? I imagine I would, yet in the original Raven file, the .SKIN said TGA yet the...  [Read More]

Thanks much. So unless anyone tells me otherwise, I'll just keep the stormtrooper references there. As for the file, I decided to drop it into a zip file and upload it that way. I've found that sometimes uploading a file to the net, then downloading...  [Read More]

Yo, First time trying my hand at skinning, and before I went ahead to make an actual skin, I wanted to get the process of actually implementing the skin into the game down. I used the Rosh model for my attempt. Despite the fact that all of the imag...  [Read More]

Seems someone over at the Open Jedi Project really liked the idea, because they responded almost imeadiately and said it would be in the next version, if none of the other contributers minded. Thanks Kurgan!...  [Read More]

Now I've seen a few people at least bring it up, but one thing that has always irked me about the Jedi Knight games is that in multiplayer they keep track of how many kills you have, but not how many times you've died. I've also noticed that a lot o...  [Read More]

Here's another perspective. I think a lot of people on both sides of the issue have some merit to their arguments. First, it seems to me that the game is not as lacking for players as some people make it out to be. On the other hand, the game itsel...  [Read More]

When I said 'customizable taunts and move sets' I mean have a variety of pre-set taunts and moves to choose from. Not taunts the players themselves create, that would take a degree in computer animation to pull off. I doubt the casual JK player wants...  [Read More]

Heh. I understand you just wanted to say 'I told you so.', but contructive criticism usually does more good. Would you rather see Raven's staff run away crying, or fix what you think is wrong and make a better game?...  [Read More]

Still, a decent mod could make the game a lot more fun. Look at some of the gameplay mods for Jedi Outcast, like the saber mod that made saber battles more skill oriented than hack and slash, and the merc mod which added tons of features. Hopefully...  [Read More]

I've been using the Light Side almost constantly since Jedi Outcast. It just suits me. As far as I've seen, none of the force powers in the game are cheap, because the light side and dark side balance so well (kudos to Raven). Unfortunately, most peo...  [Read More]
