FOA had an MT-32 soundtrack, not General MIDI. It also introduced the engine where you could use one driver for samples and one for MIDI. Incidentally, for anyone who's bought it, what does FOA on Steam use? Any recordings out there? :)...  [Read More]

Tandy used a 3 voice sound generator. To me it doesn't sound much better than a PC speaker. I hope they've included the adlib soundtrack as well....  [Read More]

You're running it on a laptop, right? SiS Mirage 3 is a graphics adapter that's integrated into the motherboard. They're usually not made to run any graphics intensive stuff, such as any games from the last 5 years....  [Read More]

This is probably totally unhelpful, but ScummVM is open source and it already has a screenshot feature. If you know C++, you could make it save every frame and put them into an AVI file. I don't know of any third-party programs that do this, unfortu...  [Read More]

About the errors themselves: The EMS error you get has to do with the fact that XP doesn't have an expanded memory manager. Expanded memory was a way for DOS programs to address the memory and it's not available in Windows newer than Windows 98 SE....  [Read More]
