Yep, I'm the same guy. And there are a couple of rules about me: 1) I'm weird and hard to take sometimes, 2) but don't really mean any harm. ;) I don't think I've ever heard of anyone reading the novel more than once. It's...interesting. Not quite...  [Read More]

Have you been doing this all in Windows, or have you also tried it in DOS? (Meaning booting to DOS, not just in a DOS prompt.)...  [Read More]

One thing he never mentions is what port, IRQ, and DMA settings he's trying, and whether or not he knows what he should be trying. I would think that plain old SoundBlaster at 220, 5 (or 7), 1 would work. I'd like to know if he's tried that already....  [Read More]

I think the mouse is slow for everyone in FT (and slower on the Y axis than X). I think it's just the game. It's exactly the same for me no matter the OS (DOS, Win95, Win98), or the mouse (Logitech and Microsoft), or the driver version. It's just slo...  [Read More]

Find it? I've had it bookmarked ever since MB made it. I even have an e-mail address for him, but don't know if he ever checks it anymore. He never replied to my last message (and I don't like being a pest). We had the idea of collaborating on...  [Read More]

A few details beyond 'Ugh, him no work' would be very useful--like OS, where in the game you are, whether or not you've installed the patch, and what other stuff you've got running. No one can help you without knowing more than you've given. Sorry. :...  [Read More]

Sure. I mean, have the people who claim that FT2 looks 'too cartoony' ever played the original? Do they really think any living person could have a head shaped like Ben's? Was Maniac Mansion photorealistic? I really don't get what there is...  [Read More]

I've thought for a long time that it would be interesting to have a Rubacava map. The map itself wouldn't be too hard for someone who knows how to do maps, but the textures would be tough to do right (to do it justice, I mean). More ambitous would be...  [Read More]

Funny thing about DSL is that the speed depends on the market. Telecoms and ISPs have to negotiate speeds with the regulating agencies in each state, and if you have some slow ISPs they will 'drag down' the max speed. Meaning that your maximum speed...  [Read More]

I don't think those are crossovers. The Max appearances are in-jokes, and the Manny thing was an ad (a similar thing was done in MI1 where Loom is being advertised). A crossover would be, like, Captain Kirk taking on the Master....  [Read More]

Not professionally. One does have ambitions, though. Or delusions. (They're really more or less the same thing.) I've also novelized (http://www.grimfandango2.com/fiction.php) the game (if for some unforgivable :p reason you didn't know)....  [Read More]
