Any feedback? Any at all.... The problem is of course, the trees. To get it to look like a forest you need a **** load of these - otherwise it looks like really sparse and not like endor at all. Hence, the comping time is just phenominal at the mome...  [Read More]

Wow...nice thread. After this ENDOR map I'm done with this game too. I can't wait for Battlefront and I may pick up DOOM III also. But the Q4 engine will be along before you know it. And someone like RAVENSOFT or whoever will develop the next JK base...  [Read More]

Why would you want to trisoup the floor? It needs to be smooth for landing craft and storing equipment. If anything soup the outside areas. That what you meant LIL KILLA? Also, if you do end up trisouping any areas, build OVER the existing ground....  [Read More]

The fog is just the right density now. That PORTAL_SKY makes it look so much better..good stuff man! Let's have a BETA :p Big maps will always take forever to compile. Look at SithJs Kamino map..it's just amazingly oversized. He has the biggest BSP...  [Read More]

Here is the screenshot (TEST MAP) of the new sky_portal. You will see the terrain and the trees here. Both are part of the same model with no loss in performance. If I had added my tree models seperately to the terrain then yes it would eat quite a b...  [Read More]

Fog will be added last there Codja. My skyportal is just amazing actually. What I did was I REmade the terrain model from RAVEN and added my trees to it. The whole model is ground/terrain with trees growing out of it. So now I have a fully integrated...  [Read More]
