I agree. He also looks a lot better than in the original DF cutscenes, I know you can't really compare them, but I never liked his face in DF... I can imagine the snow trooper is going to look awesome with some textures! Do the models really have s...  [Read More]

I wish I could help with the mapping, but I have absolutely no experience in that. The only thing I possibly could have contributed to was texturing, but that's in full force. Btw, how are the cutscenes coming along? I'm really looking forward to s...  [Read More]

Critique like this I can use, it was only version 1, so I'll take all the critique I get, and use it for the next version. I had NO idea how many people would download it, so I DID cut a few corners (like ending a few tracks prematurely) but now I kn...  [Read More]

I didn't include those extra tracks, as I didn't feel that it fit in with the rest of the music, there was a tie fighter track there as well, but that's for a different soundtrack. I could just as easily have made all the tracks into mp3, but you wou...  [Read More]

I love the new design. I'm pretty use to sites that has a lot of pages, so it doesn't really bother me. Looking at the new screenshots of the Dark Trooper ph. 1, where you can also see it from behind, I can now see how intimidating it really looks....  [Read More]

I bought the X-wing collector's series to be able to play TIE-fighter again. Not exactly as pretty as XWA but it does use the Xwing vs Tie engine - little did I know how the music was butchered - so I didn't even play through 1 mission... I don't kn...  [Read More]

I also like MotS most, not sure why exactly, maybe it's the atmosphere in the whole game. *drifting off topic* Okay now I'm getting a little confused regarding the lightsaber. So he built the blue under the instructions of luke, but... The yellow o...  [Read More]

WhiteLightsaber: The reason why I cut off the music to the Arc Hammer where I did is because after that initial cue it returns to the music from the first cutscene (which I called 'Katarn's Mission'), and then into the gromas mines cue, which reminds...  [Read More]

I really like the new site design. Just takes a few seconds to figure it all out - but doesn't most sites? maybe there should be a new thread concerning the new design? oy, the soundtrack is described as 'breathtaking'. That kinda makes me feel obli...  [Read More]

There's 20 tracks. The other boss battle themes are there as well. Except 'temp' which is actually taken directly out from the intro to TIE-Fighter. 'Boss5a' I would believe means the boss in level 5, and as I recall that is the 1st phase of the dar...  [Read More]

Richyboy: 6.1 speakers? I'm sitting here with 2 standard stereo speakers, It's nice two know that quality is good enough for such a sound setup as well. I agree that the two notes make it sound rather unrealistic, but I'm trying not to change a...  [Read More]

I have a small correction to one of the tracks: The trombones playing the main melody near the end of track 19 are playing too soft, at the time I made it, it sounded ok, but now it bothers me - So I've increased the volume on them. So if one of the...  [Read More]

Katarn07, your just 20.3 megs short of having enough space to host it, anyway, I was thinking much the same thing as The_One -having it go up with the new site and all, as part of one nice huge package. But those that can't wait can always try and ca...  [Read More]

I encoded it in Lame 192kbps J-Stereo 44.1 khz - I went with CBR as some versions of WMP can't handle VBR very well, and in 48khz, Nero burns the tracks with a metallic reverb sound. The exact running time is 59:05 and the size is 80.3 mb. It'd be g...  [Read More]

Actually I had thought about it, though it was more of a mix of both Tie Fighter and X-wing. But I think I'll give the comp a little rest for a couple of days, I've been sitting here about 12 hours a day this weekend, my... bottom... is sore. Anywa...  [Read More]

That's true, I've heard all the music now, and there is a lot more music directly copied from the movies than I remembered. btw, I've been having a VERY slow weekend, so the last 2 days I've been doing nothing but this soundtrack, I'm about 80% done,...  [Read More]
