We've already been over this. None of the modelling crowd has yet to produce a new animation, and I haven't had time to fully develop my program in to a usable animation utility. Right now it's at stop-animation capability, which is annoying. Razor...  [Read More]

Well, if you have an extra box you could code your mod on Linux, and test it on the Linux box by running it as a dedicated server and connecting to it with your Windows box. There's people around who are trying to get DevC++ to compile the DLLs corr...  [Read More]

Originally posted by razorace JK2 had a higher player limit? JK2 maps were built with 32 players in mind, JKA was built with 16 in mind. More people own JK2, to be sure. I know it's possible to set JKA up for more players, but you'll have that na...  [Read More]

It really depends on how much of what you have done would have to be scrapped if you moved it up to JA. Doing your mod on an optimized engine, such as JA, seems like a good idea, and without vehicles and such, your coder has more variables to play ar...  [Read More]

No, TCK uses MSVC or whatever the latest incarnation is called. I use DevC++ for my Dragon project, but I was using MSVC 6 for my mod. I spent a day or two just getting the SDK to compile on MingW, only to have it not work when loaded by JA....  [Read More]

I'll forgive the bad english. In Quake3 Games, the 'gravity' is really just down - straight down. You can't make a globe and people won't be able to walk on the surface of it, like our planet earth. It is possible to code this kind of things in games...  [Read More]

That's not entirely true - the skeleton can still be exported from Max to the XSI format in the same manner that a model is made: It's just that no one reproduced it in the right order or in the right hierarchy. If I knew much of anything about XSI...  [Read More]

Corto didn't write the program, ASk did. Corto, ASk and I worked out the technical stuff to get a working JK2 skeleton in XSI format. You just need to recreate the JKA skeleton in XSI format, and leave the first frame of your animation in the 'base'...  [Read More]
