Two things: Number one, this belongs in the request thread. Number two, you'll get exactly what you want if you learn how to map yourself. Check out Rich Diesel's tutorial section to start... it may seem boring at first, but read and follow the les...  [Read More]

Yeah, Keo was also one of those that helped shaped -Tercero-'s Anakin model into its present incarnation. He's got a real eye for the details. -Anakin...  [Read More]

A robed version would be pretty nice. With the hood up rather than down, if possible. Or maybe even both? Dare I dream?...  [Read More]

I guess I'm out of the loop, but what the hell happened to the link the WIP pics were on? I can't see any of them. Just tells me the page isn't found or something. -Anakin...  [Read More]

Not that there are any other Old Ben *models* to compare it with, so I guess we'll have to take what we can get. -Anakin...  [Read More]

Forget about robed/unrobed. I'll settle for the most accurate model of Ben Kenobi. Get that done, then I'll start worrying about robed/hooded/unrobed versions. ;)...  [Read More]

A few comments/suggestions: 1) I think the skin is lacking some serious detail. Ben's clothes had a much more rough texture, and were frayed in some places. Your textures look smooth and new. Try and get them a little closer to the movies, if possib...  [Read More]

I hate to dwell on the tabards, but I think they're too far apart from each other (below the belt) and also below the belt they appear skinnier than above the belt. Also take care to make sure that they appear more seperate from the bottom half of th...  [Read More]

It's coming along nicely, but he looks like he's from Holland (wooden shoes) with those shoes/boots whatever he's got. Hope when it's skinned this will be fixed. The length of the tabards looks about right now....  [Read More]

Originally posted by KevinCoyle I've Uvwmapped the model, and I've just started on the skins. Mostly all it is now is color with a few temperary lines I'm using to fit everything together and the make sure the robe lines up on the seperate parts. I...  [Read More]

I think the tabards (strips of cloth that lay over the shoulders and extend below the belt should be longer... I'm not sure as I haven't seen good reference shots of him, but I'll watch the OT again and take notes. I just seem to remember them being...  [Read More]

Kevin, I suggest going back to skinned eyes versus real ones. With the skinned ones it looked WAY more like him. Since you changed to "real" eyes, I think it's lost his likeness. Just change it out again and put two pics of it side by side...  [Read More]

I think the latest update looks less like him then the one before. Whatever you did with the eyes changed his look too much. The skin tone is better now though....  [Read More]

I think considering you just started, you've captured his likeness pretty well. I do agree that more detail needs to be added to the face, and the beard looks a little too thick, but i'm sure you'll get to that as you go along. Keep it up, it's a goo...  [Read More]

Madjai, My recommendation would've been to work off a different picture for the model... that's not really the most accurate representation of Gandalf (at least in terms of the movie). Ah well, too late now. -Anakin...  [Read More]

Yeah, Gandalf's clothes were much baggier in the movie than they are in this model. They also weren't as smooth, they had more ridges and were rougher looking....  [Read More]
