One way to be sure is to uninstall X-Wing Alliance, using the "save pilots" (or something like that) option. Save your X-Wing Alliance folder. When you get your new computer ready to go, go into Program Files and create a folder called Luca...  [Read More]
I don't remember too well about the pilot rating. I think you can only go so high, though, before it stops you (Ace 4th or something like that). In order to go higher than that, you must do it in multiplayer....  [Read More]
I think all that should be in the README or other electronic documentation that came with the game....  [Read More]

Do you remember Battle 2 Mission 5? I can't figure it out for the life of me. You're in a TIE fighter with no warheads, and you have to defeat several enemy ships, including a light calamari cruiser and modified frigate. No matter what happens, I can...  [Read More]

Having recently finished X-Wing, I am giving TIE Fighter another play-through. This time I am going to try to get all of the bonus objectives (without cheating, of course) on medium difficulty. There were always a few that I could never get. Has anyo...  [Read More]

I think it's a problem XWA has with XP. There was a thread about it in the General forum - check there, and I think there's a link that might help....  [Read More]

Hang on there. Now this is a mission which has given people a lot of trouble, but I have completed it many times, and I know it's possible. I think the problem you had may have something to do with your sister aborting her mission, which happens if t...  [Read More]

I usually don't sit in it, but it's great that you can fire it form the cockpit with no laser charge (gives you some extra speed). Also, it's pretty useful on auto....  [Read More]

I think I did this one by getting in and out as quickly as possible. You just have to get there, sit in the turret and try to blow the fighters away as they come. It's a hard one, though, no doubt about it....  [Read More]
It's been so long since I've played that mission, all I can do is suggest some things to try. 1. You tried targeting the station and hitting shift-d, right? Maybe try it at different distances. 2. Try targeting the cargo instead of the station and...  [Read More]

Just link up your guns, sit right behind one and as soon as his color changes on your radar, let him have it. You should be able to get two or three before they can react, and that should give you an edge. I don't remember them trying to kill you muc...  [Read More]

No, no cheats, but you can turn on those options you are given in-game to help you out. That's about it. And make sure you have the latest patch, of course, since that fixes several bugs that made some missions harder than intended....  [Read More]

I do not know they do it to glorify themselves and neither do you. I was not accusing you, and I don't really agree with the way these people choose to witness the Gospel, but that does not mean they are necessarily doing something wrong. As I said,...  [Read More]

Well, it could be an exception in that mission or maybe it was changed in later versions, but I'm nearly 100% certain I've been sent home automatically in TOD missions. My computer with X-Wing on it doesn't work right now, or I'd check it out. In an...  [Read More]

I don't think so, because as long as you had completed the mission objectives, you would not be hyperspaced home when the counter reached 0:00. What would be the point in having a countdown if it wasn't counting down to anything?...  [Read More]
