no aoerat, i don't think it's too early to discuss the honor code. in general, whoever is hosting the game will have rules and players should abide by them. i remember tutoring a guy on the zone how to build what, etc. with a total of 3 players in...  [Read More]

if you can wing it, go out and get the gold expansion for aok. it is basically the same, but there are added features to swgb that aok doesn't have. plus, aok is tough in its own rite b/c swgb focuses on long range weapons while aok focuses on short...  [Read More]
i kind of agree and disagree with you emo. a good, persistent offense is a good defense, but an actual defense will win games for you. and yes you are rite, he is limiting himself to resources, and you should always scout your opponent first so tha...  [Read More]

i don't think the units are too large, rather you just notice that b/c LEC had to work with scaling all of the units correctly. i'd rather have it that way than seeing same sized troopers and at-at's attacking my base, which is very inaccurate....  [Read More]

Originally posted by Emowilli No. Definantly not AT-AT rushes. There are some excellent early game offensive options that allow you to prevent most enemys from reaching 4th age with an economy to mass produce AT-AT's. Also, STWGB like AOK has a larg...  [Read More]

another to add is that besides magazines, ratings on websites are also good as well. gamespot's editors are pretty accurate when it comes to reviewing games, so one should just not look solely at magazines to help them decide on whether or not a game...  [Read More]

don't worry guys, gamespot traditionally does that with games. in aok, gamespot had 5 page scripts for every civ in aok which appeared every two weeks. they're doing the same with swgb and slowly luring people to finding more about the game. if you g...  [Read More]

i wouldn't say that the wookies have a non-interesting campaign. afterall, they have two of them and supposedly have the best infantry. i'm not sweating about the naboo not having their own campaign so much. i'm pretty sure you'll have them under y...  [Read More]

yeah, well put it this way, AA troopers are super effective against air units only, but crappy against everything else. it depends on how you go about the attack. if you are not willing to invest in building air units, then AA's will be good for defe...  [Read More]

well, water can be important. i guess it all depends on what map you play on as well as who you play (gungans). however, if you expose a certain weakness of your base to water, you could be asking for a whooping. i just think there's more variety in...  [Read More]

with this kind of engine, air units will not be as fascinating as xwing alliance other simulation type games. so far, they haven't really invented that kind of dogfighting in rts engines as of yet, but SC and SWGB will probably have the best air batt...  [Read More]
