I know people are saying that his memory will be erased, but does C3PO not say "No more adventures, R2!" and a rash of other things during A New Hope that indicate that he had not had his memory erased because he remembers everything he's b...  [Read More]

In ANH why does Owen Lars not recognize c-3po if he owned him only 20 years or so ago? Dont tell me because he wasnt gold or something. No excuse. Do you speak bocchi indeed! He should have known. The C3PO model is mass-produced all across the galax...  [Read More]

I've got the THX version of the trillogy that came out before the SEs; it has an interview with George Lucas before each installment. Lucas himself talks about nine SW movies, saying the first three were about Anakin, the last three about Luke and th...  [Read More]

Explain how? The Death Star's designers are different, which means no Maw instalation, which means there wouldn't be a psychotic female warlord laying in wait there, which means 99% of The Jedi Academy books are null and void. Also, I can assure you,...  [Read More]

you like the EP1 better then Zhan and Kevin J. Anderson?! I think you need to compare and contrast the writting quality present. Yes... Zahn is sci-fi, technobabble rules in his books. It's more like Star Trek with lightsabers and the Force than Sta...  [Read More]

I don't think he would have to incorporate the EU in the least; this is his universe, afterall, and I think a lot of fans would want to see his vision of SW's future. I, personally, hate the EU--even Zahn's books leave me bitter after seeing the true...  [Read More]

I'm still hoping Lucas decides to make the last trillogy; he might think he'll be too old, but if he films them the way Peter Jackson filmed the Lord of the Rings trillogy (i.e., all three moivies at once), he could be done with the hard part in just...  [Read More]

Listen, the deal is this: "A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack." We saw using the Force for knowledge and defense in SW2 with the absorbing of lightning and the flinging-aside of Dooku's projectiles. When a Jed...  [Read More]

Amidala dies of a "broken heart" on Alderaan while looking after Leia. I don't think she's assassinated or anything like that. Why are the Jedi nearly extinct by Episode IV? Here's a thought: because of what Dooku told Obi-Wan on Geonesis,...  [Read More]

Sometimes I get the feeling fans go to a Star Wars movie expecting to see Oscar caliber writing, directing, and actin... And ya know what? I don't give a great, steaming pile of poodoo what happens with the Oscars. Lost all respect for "the acad...  [Read More]

Yes, they do use some clichйs, but mostly the dialogue was very timeless. Lucas doesn't throw around slang that will go out of fashion in a couple years which is why ANH, a movie made in the 70s, is still as fresh today as it ever was. What they say...  [Read More]

One thing I don't get is why Yoda didn't throw that huge cylinder at the ship Dooku got on... I mean c'mon, I know he uses the force for knowledge and defense, but think about how much of a difference it would have made, What did Yoda do with those...  [Read More]

I don't think it tires a Jedi to use the Force--what's tiring is bending your will into accepting that you can do these things in the first place. Altering one's perception can be a great mental fight--the more impossible (lifting the crane, lifting...  [Read More]

I don't think Naboo was destroyed by the Death Star, as it seems pretty obvious that Alderaan was the first planet the superweapon was used on. Think about it... Han Solo's a "galaxy-wise" smuggler, he's been everywhere. If the Death Star h...  [Read More]

The Phantom Menace was Darth Sidious, aka. Palpatine. He was a phantom because he was unseen, working behind the scene to take over the Republic--and he was certainly a menace. The title makes perfect sense. And Jedi don't get into fights with Sith L...  [Read More]

ANH shows that you're wrong in a rather clear way. Ben's point is good, but there is also the fact that Han and Luke are walking down the corridors and Han is obviously taller than Luke, Officers would notice this immediately if they were used to Tro...  [Read More]

Accents aren't in the genes. If you live somewhere long enough, you will adopt the accent of the region (like my dad, when he lived in Texas, and then he's lost it since we moved north). The voices of the Stormtroopers in the original trillogy are ve...  [Read More]

Boba is dead, Lucas said so. The Jedi all die except for Yoda and Obi, Lucas said so. People die fast in war--one second you're joking around with your friend and the next he's sloppy Joe. And Mace wouldn't say that--he'd say "Die, Motherkriffer...  [Read More]
