The autodownload only applies to map files. Skins and models will NOT be downloaded automatically. Thus, you can have 1000 skins on your server (pure) and have downloads enabled and when a client (with downloads enabled) connects, they will only rece...  [Read More]

If I remember correctly, bots do not show up in the server list as players. Thus, a server with just 1 bot and no human players still shows up as empty. I haven't personally tested this with JK2 (since I don't use bots) but it was the case with other...  [Read More]

Do you have bots enabled on your server? I suspect that the custom maps do not have spawn points for bots and thus when the server tries to add them, it encounters the error....  [Read More]

Are all these config files on the server? or is the rcon one on your client box? what about the autoexec.cfg? Both autoexec and rcon.cfg look like they belong on your client box....  [Read More]

Looks ok to me. When it's finished, type status and see what it says. It should either show what map is currently running or say "server not running". If it says "server not running" then your config isn't starting a map. If it do...  [Read More]

From what I understand, you can use ffa maps for duels, but I've not seen someone do it the other way around. Of course, the duel maps are so small, why would you want to cram a bunch of players in them like that. ;) As far as the settings, I still r...  [Read More]

Well, I'm guessing that you have a custom map rotation you are using then? If so, you should set g_autoMapCycle "0" (off). As far as setting a timelimit and a duel_fraglimit, why not just set each? I have seen duel servers where, despite th...  [Read More]

Well, that's one reason I don't do windows. Anyway, I'd be curious to see if using a prior version of the ded server binary would make a difference. I've actually run into a couple of people with the w2k problem just as you describe it. I'm sure the...  [Read More]

Yes, that would be the config setting that would make your server unpure. Of course, then you open the door for people to cheat by using modified pk3 files as well. Why not just install the custom skins on the server and keep it pure? Take into consi...  [Read More]

Are you sure the server is running properly? Try performing a status command in the server console and see what it says. If it says, "server not running" then you probably didn't correctly call a map in your config. If the server is running...  [Read More]

At this point, there is no way to specifically disable Red stance as opposed to the other stances. Although you can reduce the number of force points players have to spend, if they spend them all on saber attack, they can still get to red stance....  [Read More]

The autoexec.cfg isn't necessary and you can ignore the error. If you really want to get rid of it, just create an empty file with that name and put it in the base directory. Now, as far as the assets2.pk3 file, you need to copy that from a 1.03 patc...  [Read More]

A hitch warning is the server's way of saying "I had to think about something really hard and it caused some lag for the players". In other words, your cpu was getting maxed out. This normally happens during startup and map changes. If it h...  [Read More]
